1  Re: Brothers Grimm Swap GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Cheeco on: August 04, 2011 04:22:13 PM
Wham! Amazing package received from textilejnkie! Prepared to be jealous!!

First is JAM! It contains the blood from the "girl without hands" from her stumps. Also with the jar, are with beautiful paper with red apples in the corner. They're for the notes exchanged  under the shades of the orchard.

Next! She weaved these HERSELF! Crazy awesome! The pattern represents  Rose red's attempt to find a pure white rose on her bush!

AND THEN! Here's a lovely tote bag, with a embroidered and painted bird from the juniper tree! I absolutely love it and can't wait to show it off to everyone!

And these beautiful earrings and pendant are the gifts from Thrushbeard to his beggar bride. Sadly these photo's don't show the beautiful colour they are. They're a lighter green than what is shown!

Then to top it all off, I get to keep that wonderful apple stamp that graced the papers I got, and it represents basically all the grimms fairy tales. And then included with that is a bird stamp, for the bird in juniper tree!

Thank you Textilejnkie! LOVE EVERYTHING!!!!

2  Aliens and Robots, Oh my! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Cheeco on: July 04, 2010 10:47:16 AM
So just recently a friend of mine asked me to make a little green man from Toy story, and I said yes. So here he is =)

Sorry for the blurriness/flash, I couldn't get any good pictures that day =P

Near christmas time, I was crocheting different characters and my brother wanted me to make a bender, so I tried crocheting him at first, but I was getting no where. So I made him out of a grey sweater and my brother was really happy when he opened up his present and saw Bender. =)

Again, sorry for the terrible pics. Maybe it's just me =P

Huzzah! I received from pixieval and was spoiled rotten =3

Some nice erasers that you can't see very well because of the flash, and beside it is a pendant with pictures of Wicked, an awesome book and it has a bunch of colourful beads hanging off the bottom!

Here is some blue and white eyelash yarn, 3 big balls of it too! And then atop of that is a red scarf that was woven and feels really nice and looks awesome too =D

When I said I was spoiled, I was spoiled with these four books, can't wait to start reading them =)

Seriously spoiled guys =P =D Two books by Gregory Maguire! Delicious =3 I'm definately set for reading material =D

Thanks so much Pixieval, you totally spoiled me rotten!

Bam! And I got my awesome package from DonkeyBeth! And it is awesome! And you will all be jealous =P =D

She was able to stick everything into this small box!

This is everything together! Some pendants, a necklace, emergency chocolate, and shrinky plastic to make more pendants out of =D Awesome!

This is the rockin' emergency chocolate... dark chocolate might I add, delicious! And I love what it says on the box. "For immediate relief of: Chocolate Cravings, Lovesickness, Exam Pressure, Mild Anxiety, and Extreme Hunger." Love it! =D

Two of the pendants I received. Since we're both geeks we know of the vulcan salute... and it says on it, "live long and prosper' and its sparkly =P =D And the other one is an awesome peas in a pod pendant.

HAHA! Doctor Who! I love him! Man... I wish I had a british accent =P But they're of the TARDIS and a dalek! She really spoiled me with my love of geekery and pendants Grin

And the last item is of a necklace with keyboard pieces spelling out geek! It rocks!

Thanks so much donkeybeth! This has definitely brightened up my day/week =D!

5  Pendant Fun in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Cheeco on: April 19, 2009 06:13:08 PM
Here are the pendants that I've made... basically using polymer clay and paints... and my head =D

This was my very first one. It's a nerdosaur. He's wearing glasses and has elephant feet =P

The one on the left is called the Ironic Cloud... since it has an umbrella, but clouds don't need them cause they're the ones causing the rain... yeah =P The other one was because I was bored and had to do something... so I did my rose =)

The one on the left is called Mad Cow for the obvious reason... I plan on giving it to a friend who likes cows..
The one on the right is called Punk owl... again obvious reasons... He has a green mohawk, teehee =P =D

So yeah... comments and criticisms are welcomed =)

6  Re: Anything Amigurumi Swap GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Cheeco on: September 23, 2008 02:34:26 PM
So I got my package from Half Pint just a few minutes ago and I'm so excited cause it's awesome =D

First are these awesome amigurumi's! I love the octopus's colouring, and I love how fuzzy the cat is and that its tongue is sticking out and it has a different coloured ear! =D

Here's a close up on the octopus

And then she got me what I asked for and that's for small safety eyes, which rocks so much. That's the problem in living in a small town, you have to go pretty far to find something, and even then eyes are pretty hard to find, so that was cool! And then some candy. And a really cool card which is also... awesome =P =D

Everything together

Thanks so much Half Pint, you are a great swapper =D

7  Re: Summer Reading Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Cheeco on: August 10, 2008 04:33:32 PM
Okay, tatteredspider received a few days ago but is having trouble putting up pictures, so I'm putting them up =)

She asked for a book bag.

It looks like a book...

But not when it's opened =P =D

A book thong

And the books

'Blackwood Farm' by Anne Rice  and
'The Bad Place' by Dean R Kootz

It was a lot of fun making it, but the hollow book was hard work, but I was really happy with the end result. Hope you like it tatteredspider. =)

I got my package today from tatteredspider! Yay!
First up is a tote bag with really nice starry night fabric. =D

Then in the bag were two book covers. They are the same material as the bag, this one being the material inside the bag. The other book cover is the material on the outside of the bag. =D

And of course, inside the book covers were.. books =P =)

'The Abyss' by Orson Scott Card, an author I wanted, so yay =D
'Sing the Four Quarters' by Tanya Huff, an author I've recently read and have enjoyed, so double yay =D

Thanks so much tatteredspider for making this a great first swap for me =) Hope you get your package soon!

10  Dog Sweaters (Image Heavyish) in Crochet: Completed Projects by Cheeco on: March 19, 2008 02:30:40 PM
At home, I have two dogs, a beagle/pug (I like to call him a bug or a pugle) and a chihuahua, and I found how to make a sweater for a chihuahua, and I used that pattern and changed it a little to fit my bug. The website is http://www.crochetnmore.com/dogsweater.htm
This is Cheeco up close to show the button I sewed on

This is Cheeco and Charlie together showing their sweaters off

And I also created a little hat to go with Cheeco, I had made one previously, but it had no ear holes and it looked like a army helmet, I don't know where it went and didn't take any pictures of it, but this is his newest one, it stays on pretty well, and sadly I don't write down patterns when I make them, so I don't have one, sorry  Tongue
