3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Soaps since the beginning of (my) soaping = lots o' pics! on: July 23, 2009 09:02:56 AM
All of your soaps look wonderful!  Did you use essential oil or fragrance oil for the cedar soap??  I LOVE that smell, but I worry that the smell would dissipate too fast.  That's a scent that I would literally keep near my bed to go to sleep with.  lol   Grin

And for the face soap, what oils did you use?? I've been trying to come up with a soap for my kids and I that wouldn't make us break out, but I have no idea which oils cause pimples and which don't.  Huh

Here's a hat that I made for my son.  It was a huge pain in the butt to make, but all of my sewing boo boo's added up to make a pretty nice sun hat!  Yea!  But I don't think I'll be making a hat again any time soon.  lol    Grin

7  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Anyone have the Singer 7463 Confidence? on: March 22, 2009 12:48:56 PM
Does anyone else have a problem with the presser foot pressing down too hard?  When I sew with my machine the top fabric tends to bunch up in front of the presser foot no matter which foot I use.  I keep ending up with either crooked stuff or tucks in the material in order to re-match the layers up.   Angry
8  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: baby "quilt" on: March 14, 2009 09:56:21 AM
Very cute!  How did you do the corners with that type of binding??  I have such a hard time with them.

Orrkid, it's velvet with a wavy pattern somehow imprinted on it. Looks kinda like when you vacuum a carpet and it leaves those trails.

The Tick is great!  Love that tongue-in-cheek type of humor. Wink
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Skirt turned Designer Looking Bag!! on: March 14, 2009 08:18:51 AM
Great idea!  I never thought of using an old skirt before.  I'll have to give something like that a whirl.
