21  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / 1927 Vanity Fair Mural on: January 07, 2011 07:47:22 AM
I mentioned in passing the other day that I wanted to paint a mural but had yet to locate an overhead projector (I wasn't looking to hard to be honest). I sure did mentioned it to the right person because he immediately said he had one and would bring it over in a few days.  And in 4 days of recieving it I had this up Cheesy I think I owe him a bottle of wine. The original picture is the cover of the october 1927 Vanity Fair. I absolutely love the style from the 20's and 30's, whether it's art, architecture, high fashion etc. I might keep it a bit longer and do another one in my craft room or the kitchen.

22  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pom Pom Tree on: October 05, 2010 06:39:42 PM
I was sitting in my apartment avoiding a crochet project I'm in no hurry to do. So the best way to avoid doing what I didn't want to do was find  something new to do.  So I got some items together, three coat hangers, 4 colours of wool-ease think 'n quick, a dollarstore pylon and a straw dispenser and came up with the Pom Pom Tree. Some patient pom pom making and a lot of muscle to shape the hangers (they don't like to bend apparently) and I came up with this.

No. I'll crochet, bake, make jewelry, soaps, keychains...depends on the person and if they request anything.
26  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Butters on: September 12, 2010 02:19:32 PM
This is another prize I made for someone at work. Sorry for the pic, I didn't remember to get another one before giving it to him. He apparently loved it. After I gave it to him he wouldn't let anyone else touch it.

27  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Ryu Street Fighter on: September 12, 2010 02:15:53 PM
I made this as a prize for an ongoing contest I do at work. The theme for that week was Street fighter. It was made for a man so it's a bit large on my head. I really hope he likes it.

28  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / TMNT on: August 20, 2010 03:10:12 PM
It's been awhile since I've done a silk screening project. I had almost forgot how long the process can be. Almost. But well worth it. Sorry for the not so great pic
Hope you liked it.

29  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Towelie wash cloth on: August 20, 2010 02:59:16 PM
In my ongoing quest to make work fun, I do a weekly game of drawing things around the office for people to guess at what they are. Most right guesses win a prize. Two weeks ago was South Park and I came up with a usable Towelie wash cloth. It's made of cotton and plenty strong. I've already had requests to make them for other people.

30  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Storm Shadow (G.I. Joe) on: July 26, 2010 03:59:29 PM
I do a contest at work where I draw things around the office and people guess what they are. If they're the first ones with the right answers they get a prize. Well two weeks ago I did G.I. Joe and the winner got this guy!

I hope he likes him.
