12  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / my own mini stocking ornaments on: October 21, 2008 10:45:17 PM
well with a 3 year old that doesnt listen and a 1 year old i thought these would make great ornaments! it was super easy and fast to whip up so i think i can make alot before the tree goes up this year.

the pattern is http://hookedtocrafts.wordpress.com/2008/10/11/mini-christmas-stockings-basic-pattern/

13  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / yellow lapghan on: October 20, 2008 12:33:16 PM
i originally started this as a baby blanket but since the color wasnt baby-ish and it was large enough to cover my legs i decided to use it as a lapghan the yarn is caron one pound in sunflower i used an M hook i think and i did front post back post i think thats what it's called for the stitch. oh and a treble shell border. it's very cozy and warm Smiley the border has some mistakes though since i was winging it as i went along

on my love seat:

the pattern is from http://www.happyyellowhouse.com/htm/jasie.html though i modified it a little to use dc since i hate sc. it only took me about 5 or 6 days to finish but thats cause my kids kept wanting my attention (i sound bad here sorry) i love how it came out i am happy i chose solid white for this!
15  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / square with testing tut. on: September 20, 2008 06:50:07 PM
ok so i was wondering etsy and it made me want to just randomly crochet and this is what i came up with

i am testing this pattern so if anyone wants to make one tell me how it comes out

ch 4 slst in 1st ch to form ring

ch2 in the ring 11 dc slst in 2nd stitch of 2ch to join and form ring

ch 2. in 1st dc, 2 dc then ch 1. in next dc, do 3dc + ch 1 in each after slst to join (you should have the 2ch and 25 dc and 12 ch)

ch 4 slst in 1st chain made after 2 dc from last row. ch 3 slst in next ch space repeat till you do it around slst in 1st chain to for this round

ch2 3dc in 3ch space, ch 2 4dc in next 3ch space *ch1 sc in next 3 ch space ch 1 4 dc in next 3ch space ch2 4 dc in next 3ch space*  repeat * 3 times (it should look squarish now) slst to join

ch 2 1dc in each space with corners having 2 dc ch 2 and 2 dc for a total of 15dc each side

and done!

hopefully that wasnt too confusing!
16  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / brown and pink baby girls blanket edit: two new photos with my daughter on: September 17, 2008 09:09:32 AM
i just finished a blanket for my daughter! i was mostly using the yarn i have which ended up being red heart brown and vannas choice pink and dusty rose. i dont understand how people like pink and brown together but whatever it's cute!

i might add it took me less then then a day to do this blanket it's pattern is based off http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/70274AD.html but i did dc instead of sc also... i think i read the pattern wrong lol i like it over all even if it is brown

edit: if this post seems negative i didnt mean it that way actually i use the blanket alot for my daughter it REALLY grew on me and i love it lol. i'll try to get an action shot of my daughter and it

edit: added two new photos. heh my baby is covered in bitter biscuit
