The amigurumis are awesome but the story totally sells it

Great job! Cheesy

YOU ARE SO AWESOME

Seriously, this project is tons of win.  Excellent job.  I'll have to remember to look this up when I actually have time to crochet...

It's a great idea, and turned out lovely (I clicked because I was so intrigued by the thumbnail). If you have made more pop tab crochet, you must post it!

Thanks!  And I'll definitely be posting more pop tab stuff when I have the time to mess around with them Smiley

I've been a long-time lurker on the crochet boards but haven't posted due to laziness being too busy.  I've been done with this for awhile but figured it'd make a good first post since it's my first (and thus far, only) original pattern.  Technically it's not complete since it needs a lining, zipper, and a handle, but all the crochet part is complete so I figure it counts enough  Cheesy

Here it is, my pop tab purse!

The pop tabs are a bit more visible than the pictures tend to show... I do wish that the pop tabs had ended up showing a bit more but I still have a giant bag full of pop tabs just waiting to be used which means I'll have many more opportunities to mess around and come up with something even better  Smiley

Like I said, I was totally winging the pattern.  There wasn't really any hope of me being able to replicate it for the back so I just decided to do a solid circle with all the colors and hope that it would work out.  Magically it did; size, number of stitches, everything!

Inside Shot #2

Unfortunately I can't sew very well and don't have access to a sewing machine while at school, so I have no idea when it's actually going to be fully finished.  I'm very proud of it even though I don't intend on keeping it for myself (I love the colors but it's a bit too small for my liking).  Hopefully I'll find someone to give it to/buy it when the that time comes around...

I know I couldn't possibly write up a pattern for it but if someone really wanted, I could try and explain a little bit of what I did.  At the least I could give some pointers...

Hopefully everyone likes!

The Xatu and your hats make me happy.

I love crocheting nerdy things...  Lips sealed

I am, however, curious as to how he looks from behind

Thanks guys!
This is seriously the simplest and quickest thing I've made that has brought me this amount of joy Smiley
