Hey there stitchers! I've been on craft hiatus for far too long now, and finally decided to finish up some projects and get them posted. I based this embroidery off of a google image of a temporary tattoo. I've been a long time lover of mermaids... mainly due to disney....but anywho... take a look! i'd love to know what you think :]

3  Living Room Redone - LOTSA PICTURES! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by la la laurrenn on: October 12, 2009 09:02:10 AM
I recently posted our redone kitchen here on craftster, and I finally got around to finishing up the odds and ends in my living room and am ready to post. I have to admit the walls were SOMETHING ELSE to paint. We have plaster walls and they are a complete textured mess of BLAH. Anywho, please take a look!

4  First Home! Kitchen Redo - LOTSA PICS in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by la la laurrenn on: September 15, 2009 09:50:15 AM
I've been on a super hiatus from the craft world since we have started looking to buy a house/bought a house. But FINALLY, I get to share what has been accomplished since we have bought our first home.

We bought the house in mid August and have been going to town on every inch of it. It is a 1931 cottage style 1.5 story house that we fell in love with on the VERY first round of showings.

We have mostly completed the house in just one month, but the kitchen was the first to be finished to completion. So, please take a look. I'd love to hear comments or anything you may want to add.

Thanks!

5  Stag and Flowers Embroidery (Andrea Zuill pattern) in Needlework: Completed Projects by la la laurrenn on: July 09, 2009 10:35:08 PM
When I saw this pattern by Badbird, I had to have it. I think its super awesome. I stitched this off and on for about a month, and due to a new england vacation accompanied by very persistent rain... I finally finished it!

I want to display in a neat way, but I haven't been able to think of anything..... any suggestions?!

Thanks!

6  Horse Embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by la la laurrenn on: May 19, 2009 10:56:02 AM
I embroidered a couple of horses recently, and made them into wall hangings. We are buying a house soon, so I decided I would work on a few things I wanted for the place in the meantime. I've really been into horses lately, not sure why....(maybe because I live in KY and the derby was recent ??) but they've been fun to stitch. Check them out - C& C are always appreciated!

7  Tea Towels from Swap & Andrea Zuill Monster in Needlework: Completed Projects by la la laurrenn on: May 13, 2009 11:40:32 PM
I just finished up the Set of Embroidered Tea Towels Swap Round 2. My partner, the fabulous fiberartsy, was delightful to work with and I really enjoyed stitching for her!

Also, I stitched up the monster from Andrea Zuill's Days of the Week embroidery pattern. I think I will make him say "Mondays are Monstrous" and set it in my office.

I have a few more projects laying around that I'd like to gather and post, but I am too sleepy at the moment to sift through my mess of a craft room, so, until then....

Tell me what you think!

Here is the third towel I stitched up for fiberartsy. I googled "kawaii sushi" and found this really great little design and HAD to do it. After investigation, I found that the image was by a graphic design artist who does digital vector pop art in the kawaii fashion. I emailed her and asked for permission to post my finished piece of her work and she was very willing and excited that her image had been done in embroidery.

fiberartsy - SO glad you liked the work, you've been a splendid swappie!

 Without further ado,

There are some really great towels in there. I love the space girl, those first ones are trimmed!!?! - awesome. And those owls are fantastic!

I received my package this weekend, and i loveee it! They are really great -  a 50's housewife, a really neat atomic deisgn, and the last one is of an owl cookie jar! (i actually bought! the pattern for the owl cookie jar, and then came home and BAM! i didn't have to stitch a thing cause my rockin' partner did it.....FANTASTICALLY.) the detail is super great.

How awesome?!!!

10  First Clothing Project - Mccall M5819 in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by la la laurrenn on: May 01, 2009 08:05:03 PM
This was my very first clothing project! (at least that I have ever finished) I just recently tried to become familiar with my machine and reading patterns, so I am excited that it worked out! Although, I'd like it to be a tad longer, but still - for my first time I'm super pleased. (sorry for the crappy picture, I used the iphone) C & C welcome!

Thanks for looking!
