1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Upscaled Decoupage Jewelry Box IMG HEAVY on: February 02, 2010 03:05:59 PM
This was a little beat up wooden jewelry box that I gave a face lift. I made it into a festive little piece using origami paper and little paper lantern embellishments. Let me know what you think!

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Decoupage Frame on: April 06, 2009 07:45:22 PM
This was a plain black frame that was lying around on my floor, getting kicked out of the way for about a year. I finally got up the gumption to do something with it and here's the end result. I made one similar to this with striped paper for a christmas present, but was stupid and didn't get any Pics. This one has a matching background with a fabric flower accent and a vintage button center.

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Decoupaged Vintage Jewelry Box IMG heavy on: April 04, 2009 06:13:04 PM
This was such a beat up old jewelry box that my boyfriend was going to throw away...but real wood anything is so hard to come by these days that I snatched it up and waited until an idea came to me. So it eventually did and I decided to paint it a light mint green color and decoupaged the rest.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Thinking Spring...few new flower barrettes on: April 04, 2009 06:06:04 PM
I'm so sick of snow and freezing rain. I decided to make some tropical barrettes to cheer me up. And of course I had to throw vintage buttons in the mix..because I have issues...

A few are made from embosses paper flowers and others are from silk floral arrangements that I've taken apart and mix and matched.

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Couple New Necklaces on: April 04, 2009 05:34:18 PM
Here's a couple completed pieces I've done recently. Let me know what you think Smiley

6  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Nifty knitting Needle Holder on: April 04, 2009 05:06:20 PM
I got really sick of having my needles scattered all over the place so I decided to make a holder for them. I used the pattern by in the back of the first Stitch 'N' Bitch book. I just used several cute fabrics that I had laying around. Incidentally this is also my first real finished sewing project other than a pillow case. Feeling a bit accomplished here.

Let me know what you think Smiley
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / because red and green makes me gag... on: December 09, 2008 08:38:00 AM
I get really sick of the traditional christmas decorations...so I decided to make a tree of my own that incorporated one of my favorite things in the world...vintage buttons...

And what tree is complete without a chicken topper??

I'm a weirdo..i know...
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Two new hats for christmas on: December 03, 2008 07:28:25 PM
I made these 2 hats for Christmas presents. The one on my head is for my sister who is battling cervical cancer. She hasn't lost her hair from her treatments, but if they have to do more she might, so I felt a snuggly hat might be a good present. The second hat was actually my first attempt (I made the pattern up as I went) and it came out too small...so it's going to my boyfriend's niece who is 5. Let me know what you think!

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Angry Butterfly Pincushions on: October 17, 2008 10:18:45 AM
These little guys are seriously ticked off...but i guess I can't blame them for having pins shoved in their face all day...

10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Question about stamp inks... on: September 30, 2008 04:29:57 PM
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone can recommend me a really good ink for rubber stamps. I've tried "Ink it Up" and "Craft Smart Dye  Based" and they both just left a blobby, blotchy mess. VersaFine is pretty decent and I get a fairly clear stamp, but can anyone recommend anything better?

Thanks so much!
Ruby
