I had quite a bit of wool left over, and finally had enough courage to try amigurumi! They didn't turn out great, not even close, but I like them. They're for my 5 year old nephew (the bear), and my 3 year old niece (the wonky panda) and I really hope they'll like them!

I also used this as inspiration: http://www.kawaiicrochet.com/baron-von-mustache I embroidered the 'tache on, because I didn't want to use felt.

Is it a type of macramé?

So I decided to take up weaving, we're learning about it at school and thought it'd be pretty awesome to do. I'd like to weave a blanket for my boyfriend, and I bought a frame loom on ebay the other day. I bought it before thinking about it too much. I want to make a blanket!
You can't make the piece longer without cutting it off the loom and sewing the pieces together, or is there a way? I've been thinking, and dreaming, about it for days, but can't come up with a solution. I'd like to make long pieces at one go, and not just be reduced to the length of the frame.
Any suggestions?

It's so pretty 

The before and after:

I got 3 of these folders from a very persistent insurance agent person and the original cover is kind of boring. I had a major thing for rainbows a few months ago and decided to cover one of them with rainbows, yay!
I bought see-through sticky book protection foil and printed out about 6 sheets of rainbowness. I just used a gradient on photoshop and that made a lovely rainbow. I also found a cute rainbow and cloud picture online and just had to use it as well.
It was harder than I thought. The outside wasn't a problem, but the inside...

The damn sticky stuff wouldn't stick inside, and the clip was placed way too high up and nothing really worked at all. The protection foil is also a bit too thick to stick all that well there, so I grabbed normal sticky tape and taped all around the edges and that worked pretty well.

It's so awesomely rainbow-y, I'm super pleased with how it turned out =D

I made this one by using charms and beads off of a pair of earrings. They were over flooded with charms and whatnots, and way too heavy. I only left one a peace sign and took the rest off and turned it into this:

I had a waxed cotton thread-like band thing and braided it, measured around my wrist, closed off one end and stringed on those beads. (I'm not sure what you call them in English) then opened up rings and put on the charms.

I always put one through both braided threads and the one through just one. So they wouldn't move around too crazily. It looks super shiny, but it isn't. The flash brought out all of the waxyness.


I made the next ones out of a headband I got at H&M. My head seems to be way too huge to be able to hold those bands, they're too tight and slip off =/
So I cut one side of the elastic off, and cut a piece (Minus the elastic) a bit smaller than my wrist and cut the elastic smaller.

Added a bead and a charm and sewed (not very well - my machine kind of ate it) down the ends with the elastic

They're like hair scrunchies, you can just pull them over your wrist and they're loose but tight enough not to slip off. Yeah, I know I should have covered the ends like they originally were, but I seem to always rush everything and want it finished pronto so I can wear it right away but I'll probably get around to fixing them up
(I'm told I'm really terrible at explaining things. Hope you all understood what I was trying to say xD)

My mom gave me one of my dads old XL shirt and I had it lying around on my messy sewing table for a week or so. Since weekends bored the crap out of me, and I had a day off yesterday making it feel like the worst day of the week (Sunday) I decided to cut up the shirt and make something, yay!
I don't have a before picture, but it was your typical t-shirt.

I pretty much chopped off below the sleeves, then cut around them, cut the neckline

The top part wasn't as wide as the lower part, so while sewing I pulled at the top part and that's how this happened. I'm pretty pleased

The back. I pulled elastic through the back part. And criss crossed the straps because it hung way too loose in a normal strap way. Ignore my veeeery poor sewing. I was lazy, and rushed it. It's horrible, but no one will ever see the back anyway, so no matter

I'm actually pretty pleased with how it came out. Next one will be a bit different, and a lot better.

I only just started making my own earrings and bracelets (for Christmas, early I know, but if I don't start know I'll be too lazy to do anything up until a few days before Christmas)
