1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / hippie top and bloomers on: March 18, 2008 06:48:50 AM
another project... sick of me yet? still trying to get the hang of posting pics, bear with me. it will happen. thinking spring i did a peasant-type top and some bloomers/pantaloons in contrasting fabric. the fabric is moda and i'm lovin' their new prints! it is like a sateen so it washes up SUPER soft. i seriously think bloomers are underrated, you just don't see them anymore and they are sooo freakin' cute!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Mod Polka Dot Smock/Reversible Pants Set on: March 16, 2008 05:47:33 PM
you may have checked out the nautical/lobster theme smocks/pants i was comissioned to do.  just wanted to post pics of a set i made for my daughter recently that i think is darn cute! the pants reverse to the dot print and the smock reverses to the argyle print. it makes for tons of options! you can see the nautical stuff on my blog:liziedoo.blogspot.com
going to try to post pics here for the 1st time, we'll see how it goes...

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / SMOCKS n' REVERSIBLE PANTS whaddya think? on: March 16, 2008 10:00:09 AM
really needing feedback, guys. been doing custom orders for local diaper shop for a long time and had a request to do some lobster smocks and cropped pants (we live in coastal maine). i was hesitant because i've been very successful w/ these items and did not want to create something cheesy or touristy. i'm finally done with the order and feel that i've managed to maintain some integrity... what do you think? i did 3 of each, linen pants revrsing to cotton, cotton/cotton pants, linen/cotton smocks, cotton/cotton smocks.  they all have an applique of a lobster bot or w/ nautical fabric.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / any suggestions? toddler tunic dress on: March 09, 2008 07:18:30 PM
looking to find a link to a pattern for or a post or a tut on how to make a very simple tunic dress for a wee one 12-18mos.  i want to do it out of linen, very simple, a-line maybe a wide sleeve.  supposing w/ a bit of fudging i could do it, but i'd like to browse around first.  i'm thinking something like a hippie top or beach cover-up, about knee-length.
any advice appreciated!
