1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Brand spankin' new Singer serger at Goodwill for $40!!!!!! But..... on: March 18, 2009 03:33:05 PM
Yes, I checked around at the local shops yesterday, and they all told me that they would have to call singer and order the part the same way I would have to, then mark it up to sell to me.  So I am just going to have to learn some patience and wait to order it...  Boo...

I know, I'm a cheapskate  Wink  I'm just on a really limited budget atm, and I don't have the patience to save up for the expensive one.  I want one NOW!  All of the sew and vac shops were closed on Sunday afternoon, I'll definitely go for a visit today or tomorrow.   Thanks so much!
3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Brand spankin' new Singer serger at Goodwill for $40!!!!!! But..... on: March 14, 2009 06:41:00 PM
It doesn't doesn't have the power cord or pedal.  It still has the strip of fabric attached from where it was tested at the factory!  Does anyone have any idea (besides the Singer company) where I could get this for less than $40?  I checked ebay with no luck, and Singer wants $45 plus shipping.  I'll do that as a last resort, but I really can't afford to right now.  Thanks for any ideas of where to look!

Oven fried chicken last night with steamed veggies and beans, using the leftover chicken for club-type sandwiches tonight.

I'm having to resist the urge to start on another baby to put in another starghan right now...  she's too precious!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bacon!! Fleece bacon scarf. on: December 15, 2008 09:07:36 PM
Too funny...  and it got funnier the further I read.  I don't think I could get mine to wear a scarf, but he is definitely a bacon-addict.  His favorite appetizer of all time is bacon-wrapped lil' smokies.  (Is there a smiley for "gag"?)
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My latest top: a dreadful mistake that should never have seen the light of day? on: December 12, 2008 01:09:31 PM
I think it looks great - but I will second the new undergarments idea as another well-endowed girl.  I finally went to a good shop and discovered that the bras I was wearing were 2 sizes too small in the cup and 2 sizes too big around the chest.  I was amazed at how much better my clothes fit and looked!
8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: HP swap item. if you're partnered with me, please don't ruin your surprise!!! on: December 02, 2008 08:28:14 AM
I think that she meant that it was great there were no fingerprints on the red phoenix, seeing as it was her first time using polyclay, not that the other lady's items had fingerprints in them.

Leftover pizza...  I did Thanksgiving three days in a row, and had to take a break from the turkey!

Two choices tonight - roast and veggies in the crock pot, and chicken soup with egg noodles.  And my hubby brought me prime rib from his trip to Denver.
