21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Zippered Pouch Swap Gallery!!! on: May 22, 2008 12:00:11 PM
Wow! Everything you've all made is just gorgeous! I love all the different fabrics people have used. And that market bag is really cute. It's fun to watch the gallery filling up.

I'd love to join a dishcloth swap, I'm in the middle of my first one now- a cute hearts lace pattern from ravelry.

I really like the idea of this swap. I've just sent off my first swap package and I'd like to do more swaps, but I don't really have the time to do any of the more complicated ones.

I'm another one who hasn't managed to try a zipper foot yet. I do actually have one, but I can't work out how to change the foot on my sewing machine. I think I've managed ok with the normal foot though.

It's so exciting to have pictures already- I sent my package today, and I can't wait to see everyone else's pouches.
25  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Zippered Pouch Swap! (Sign-Ups CLOSED ... Send-Outs 5/23/8) on: May 18, 2008 04:02:40 AM
I know what you mean about the corners Ms Rosie, I just can't get my zippers to look as perfect as some of zipper pouches I've seen on craftster. I know I've had my sewing machine less than two months so I probably shouldn't be so hard on myself but still it's frustrating.

The trouble with having everything all finished a couple of days before it goes to the post office is the temptation to open it up and add just one more thing!

Off to see whether anything has shown up in the gallery yet...

I have everything all finished, wrapped up and ready to go to the post office! I couldn't do up the zipper pouch after I stuffed it, but it's all inside it so that counts as just filling the pouch, right?

I have devoted today to crafting for this swap, and I have just have one more thing to make, then I can get wrapping it all up. It should be on it's way on Monday, if I don't get over excited and go into town tomorrow just to post it!

My ebay purchases arrived today, so tomorrow I can get sewing. I plan on getting my stuff sent out early, since it has a long way to go!

I've just been shopping on ebay for a few bits and pieces, just need to wait for some nice new fabric to arrive so I can get sewing!

How does the partner assigning thing work? What sort of things do you match people for?
