I finally made my little 12cm tall vampire Ji Ball jointed doll some clothes.  She's really happy now, although she doesnt like being called cute.  Shes a vampire so i'd be wary of annoying her.





With the exception of the hippo I made the socks, dress, hairbow and wig.  I had several attempts at making the dress before one actually came out right.

I did actually make one for myself way back in 2008 (you can see the post if you backtrack through all the junk i've posted here LOL) It took AGES to make, about 8 hours of continous work.

I have a ball jointed dall called Blake.  She's a bit evil being a vampire an all and she doesn't usually do anything she doesn't want to do.  I made her a scarf and for once she actually liked something I made her, well in fairness she liked the white wig I made her, and the skirt and socks shes also wearing in the pictures, so maybe i'm good for something after all hehehe





The scarf was pretty fiddly to make simply because Blake is only 12 cms tall so making a scarf to scale meant I had to use the really tiny crochet hook which up until now has never really been touched.

This is the can I put together for CathieB.  We agreed to post up pics of the stuff we sent rather than received as my camera was on the blink when her tube arrived here and as a result the contents got eaten or strewn around the house before I had a chance to take pictures of it all.  This was my first swap and I was really worried about how it was going to go.  But this is what I made for CathieB


First off the decoration of the tin I had probably in retrospect bitten off more than I could chew there, making the tube into an easter chick, Trying to sew the head onto the pringle lid was really tricky as I had to bore holes into the plastic.  Still learn't a thing or two.



The actual stuff I made resulted in a large green crochetted bag, a little felt bunny guy, a crochetted easter girl doll and my favouite bits which were the bitten carrot phone charm and the cloud 'be happy' magnet.  I kept putting more and more mini eggs in too but the more I put in the more they seemed to dissapear.  I also threw in some butterfly tattoos and a little bunny poseable toy.  I didnt make those.

The pattern is really easy to follow and I had great fun making her, now that i've taught myself how to read patterns theres suddenly so many patterns I want to make myself. Im going to be posting my mermaid pattern up very shortly from  ages ago.  And I may make another caravan so I can write the pattern down for that, although dont hold me to that cause the caravan was a serious pain in the butt hehehe.

Anyway this is Amy, as with all my creations shes a bit on the evil side, as a general rule the cuter something is, then the more evil it is.  She will act all sweet and innocent infront of you but the mnute your back is turned she'll be plotting your downfall.  So be warned

This is my strawberry hat...well I made it but its not for me, I wish it was.  I am going to have to make more of these. 
This one is for my best friends baby, shes due tomorrow so i'm really excited for her.

I don't often make things to scale so Jake here is a first. (in terms of libms and torso)  I followed a pattern to make the doll body which can be found free at this ladys blog http://byhookbyhand.blogspot.com/ I very rarely give facial features to the things I make because I think they are more expressive without mouths and noses and stuff.  the arms and legs have pipecleaners in them and the suit is made from fleece

Jake wants to be a dragon so he wears his dragon suit all day everyday.  The things I make seem to follow a theme of being a bit mentally unstable and Jake here is no exception.  
He loves custard and the Jeremy Kyle show and has a serious phobia of staples.  I don't know why, its an irrational phobia.

This is a picture for my husband.  He knows I love him, but I actually love him with all my ameobas.  hes very kind and very clever and just really makes me wonder how I ever got so lucky to capture his heart.

I have never crocheted a square thing before and I found the effect really pleasing and making the legs as part of the body was a new concept to me as well as normally I sew limbs on afterwards, but anyway, onto the pictures.


This is Rigby.  Rigby is a bit of a loser really, he worked at a small office firm being an errand dog, fetching paperwork, making tea, he spent most of his working day at the photocopier machine where he daydreamed about being someplace better, and being someone special.  He wanted to be in crufts as part of the working dogs events, doing the obstacle course, he wrote to crufts but they rejected him, as hes a bit on the podgy side.  The same day he got the rejection letter he was also made redundant.  This double whammy sent him over the edge.


Completely crazy and Determined to be someone special he decided he needed to be a superhero and fight crime so he phoned his only friend pete, (who's a squid) to be his trusted sidekick, Pete, worried about his friend, is more along for the ride to make sure Rigby doesnt accidentally injure himself.  Rigby now refers to Pete as 'Billy the squid'



So thats Rigby, not much of a crime fighter, not much of an office worker, and now completely out of his tree. but at least he has good clean underpants. oh and the background star afghan is a baby blanket project im working on for my best friend.  Its very bright.  She'll never lose her baby whilst its wrapped up in that.

This is hypno-kitty, what with valentines day fast approaching I thought i'd make something for my guy.  Cute things are often quite evil and hypno-kitty is no exception.
I dont know why but all amigurumi I make tend to look depressed.
