I made these for the Spiderwick swap but I wanted to post these again...cause I am soooo stinkin proud of myself and have found a new love! These are the first I have made of this kind and with these types of material...I usually have made bears with fur and have never painted before...here they are....
.this is whispering willow the elf....she whispers to the sapling in the fall when they are still playing that they need to turn and sleep so they will grow...so you will find her in the forest. I used the book Creative Cloth Doll making by Patti Medaris Culea, which I would recommend to anyone wanting to take on the hobby of creative cloth dolls...her dress and cape and hair are my own, out of my head. This book is fabulous!
the dragon was made with Simplicity 4063 ...the directions were basically unfollowable for me, so I put her together the way I thought best and it seemed to work! the fabric was horrid to work with and I modified a tad....I didn't add the wire to help her stand...mistake...and I didn't use interfacing figuring the weight and stiffness of the fabric would work...mistake again.
I made the teeth out of femo and sewed them in....I think she's cute! Thank's for looking and comments and critiques are welcomed as I find this is a new love and would love anything to make things better~!
