3 more collage ATCs

My Birds of a Feather series - R edition

Rob

Roam

And AI, here is your gnomey Tongue

You can't tell in pic, but the balloon is a super high gloss red paint (painted on canvapaper and cut out).  The stuff is as shiny as enamel without the mess!

I have finally started my Ndebele Women series

LOL Thanks!
Yeah the first couple were pretty bad in retrospect.
I am getting faster with them as well.

I thought I would slip a couple of collage pieces in between painted cards.

I Flit Through Life
mixed media collage

What Would Freud Say?
I digitally added the funny disguise to a sketch of old Sigmund and glued him onto the trippy background. Base is metallic acrylic paint on canvapaper with sticker for the "engraved" nameplate

Golden Dancer
patchwork-style background of bits cut from an art catalog
gold paint outline, gold acrylic sticker key, 3-D mini tag

Thanks AI and panthermoon Smiley
I HOPE I get to take a break from the Fridas for awhile and start a new series with Ndebele women (the African tribeswomen with the stack of gold rings on their necks).

One more Frida for now:

Thanks raerae Smiley youre too sweet!

I wanted to give kawaii a try tonight.
I chose this adorable Sanrio (or San-x?) bear, Rilakkuma.  I admit to knowing NOTHING about kawaii characters, but I am a sucker for anything with a bird on its head! Tongue
I had painted his belly and inner ear a tan color until I realized I had it wrong.

Rilakkuma's Lunar Landing
original acrylic painting on canvas paper

and evidently I was wrong about being done with Frida.
This one was by request for a more Indian-looking Frida

Smiley Thank you both.
I enjoy doing the painted atcs, though they are a bit more time consuming.
I just finished one more tonight that I designed last week.

Persephone

Cheesy thanks!
I am rather fond of the afro myself. My poor poker straight hair is jealous  Tongue

The last 2 Fridas for awhile:

Frida with Shawl

Young Frida on orange
I smooshed a rubber stamp into the wet paint around the background on this one for texture.

OK, this is getting nuts.  I am not getting any other crafting done because I cannot stop making these fun little cards.

Groovy
acrylic paint background with original hand cut silhouette

I have 2 more Fridas half-painted on the table now, will likely be posted later tonight.
That is, if my camera behaves.  My computer has been moody with it today, not recognizing it.

Smiley Thank you both.

I managed to paint one last Frida before bed.  I kinda just made this one up as I went along, as my original sketch had her clothed, no heart, no flowers in hair LOL.  I made this one for me.

Frida with Heart
