2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / From Boring to ... well ... BITCHIN on: March 14, 2008 08:16:24 AM
I found this pair of white nurse shoes at wal-mart for $15. I figured ... it's cheaper than anywhere else. They were too white, so I decided to "jazz" them up a bit.

Thanks to snowtigress' easier way to resize shirts, I have turned a HUGE college t-shirt into a fitted tunic. I've decided to add another little tutorial for all of those who can't find her post. Here's my before:

The first thing to do is to put it on and pin it to fit you. Pin along the torso and the sleeves. Be careful when you take it off, we don't want any pins to fall out (or prick you).

I drew white pencil lines as a guideline on where I should sew. Sew along those lines and then try it on. Make sure it fits before you cut any access fabric. Try it on again and make any adjustments needed. I'm pinning my sleeves slimmer.

Sew until everything is perfect!

i'm exactly like you when it comes to expensive band shirts. all of my favourite bands are either unknown or european so i bought a 12-pack of transfer paper and made a few. i was wondering where you got that graphic for the t-shirt. did you find it on their website or did you make it via paint shop pro/photoshop/etc?
