1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Old road atlas, what to do?! on: May 28, 2008 10:50:13 PM
I have this rather big road atlas with so many pages of all the states. I have no clue what to do with the rest of the pages, any ideas? Undecided

Make it into a inbox/outbox for your desk!  Grin  I used different maps of California to decorate!

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / English Project: Reveal Yourself on: May 27, 2008 12:41:03 PM
I did this a year ago for English class... You take a paper bag, put things that show how people perceive you on the outside, and put how you are or things that people don't see on the inside...
On the outside...
I love food...

I also love animals...

Front (I also made a 'window' because i am fairly open to who i am to people and the pics show that I am known to be a nerd or sophisticated.

Back
Peacock feather shows my uniqueness, coconut is because i'm from the Caribbean, I wear converse everyday, and the majority of the time my hair is in a ponytail.

Inside (not a good pic because of the paper bag)
The guy on the bike shows that i like to be a kid again, I like skateboarding...

If you like the project, you should also do one - you find out more about yourself, and you reuse those old magazines and paper bags!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Few unfinished projects on: May 22, 2008 01:42:24 PM
I didn't really like this dress that my sis bought, but i liked the skirt, so i chopped it off, my major question is how to put in the elastic...

I had an old pair of jeans which started to have those chafe holes... so i made it into a skirt...

Don't worry it's not done, I just need to sew the triangles with a machine and put in a hem.

I got this really soft tee at a thrift store and liked that it was vintage-looking, but it was too big

I started hand-sewing how much it has to take in..

What would you do to the collar?
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Graduation Announcements on: May 22, 2008 01:17:55 PM
Didn't want to end up paying $30 on a whole bunch of cards, when i only need like 10. So... I made my own.
Items: Recycled paper, Microsoft Office Publisher, glue, scissors.
So i just made up the cards on Microsoft and then i realized that i didn't have envelopes.

I just took one of the sheets, measured to fit the card, folded, cut to make folding space, glued and voila!

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Prom dress need help (heavy pics) on: April 06, 2008 10:56:57 PM
Hi! My prom is next month and my mom got me a dress for $10! It's okay, but its too plain. I almost told her to return it, but it really isn't that bad plus i don't want to spend a whole bunch of money on a dress that i'll wear only once.  Any suggestions/ideas?
