1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: Freezer paper on moleskine? on: October 03, 2010 08:17:35 AM
Thanks! I should have clarified... it's not on moleskin fabric, it's on a moleskine notebook. =p Which is much smoother than moleskine, as far as I know... I think I was most worried about the fact that there's paper under it, but it sounds like that shouldn't be a problem. Smiley
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Freezer paper on moleskine? on: September 28, 2010 08:35:34 PM
I just got a new moleskine and I'd like to use a stencil to decorate the front... has anybody tried FP on a moleskine? I saw a few questions about FP on fake leather that got fairly positive answers, but I'd still like to know if anybody's tried this specifically.
Thanks!
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Pinhole camera fun on: August 05, 2010 09:27:18 PM
If I were you I'd make sure not to solve the vignetting entirely. It is a bit much having so much black around the edges, but I think some vignetting is just the best ever. And you can always crop. Smiley Those pictures are really beautiful.
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: One Tiny Book Swap? on: August 02, 2010 11:13:23 AM
I might be interested in that. I'd have to consider whether I have time to participate in a swap right now, but I'm definitely interested.

Love those! Is that a really big pan or is it a mini-muffin pan?
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: TARDIS Light Switch on: July 26, 2010 10:13:57 AM
Great point, Lady Mearle! There you go, I did it on purpose.  Roll Eyes

Glad everybody likes it. It was so super fun to make. Like I said, I'm on a total TARDIS crafting kick, so expect more in the near future.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / TARDIS Light Switch on: July 25, 2010 08:21:52 PM
I found my switch plate lying around my room from when we painted (a year and a half ago Tongue) and decided to paint it before I put it back up. I'm on a bit of a TARDIS crafting kick right now.

And an action shot. The spot where my light switch actually is happens to be rather badly lit, and I didn't take into account the fact that it might clash rather badly with my bright orange walls... but I still think I have the best switch plate in town.

Started it a couple days ago, been working on it whenever I had a moment. Acrylic and sharpie. I wouldn't recommend the sharpie, it smeared a bit when I added the varnish on top, but I don't have a very steady painting hand. Something I need to work on. There's a few imperfections, but overall I'm quite happy with it.
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: One of many on: July 16, 2010 12:49:14 PM
That is so cute! I love it. Did you use a pattern? I especially love her rabbit. Smiley
9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Teddy bear with a see-through belly? on: June 29, 2010 05:31:57 PM
I want to make my roommate a teddy bear stuffed with candy for her birthday (July 31). Long story WHY, but suffice to say it came up in a conversation once. I do sew, but I don't really have any experience with stuffed animals. If I was just making an ordinary bear, I'd dive right in... following instructions is fairly easy for me... but I'd like to make the bear entirely fur except for a clear (vinyl?) window in his stomach (to see the candy), and I don't know how I would modify a bear pattern to do that. I'd love any advice from somebody who's more experienced at bear-making.
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Best friend book - examples? on: February 21, 2009 06:34:21 AM
My best friend and I are both turning 18 in May, and I want to make her a scrapbookish thing for her. I'd love to see any examples of this from people who have done something similar.

Thanks!
