1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Book of Crochet edgings? on: June 29, 2006 07:20:25 AM
I have searched the forum and I didn't see what I was looking for.  I am interested in a book that shows lots of different crochet edgings for projects.  I am a knitter, but it would be nice to be able to crochet edges on projects that need that little something extra.

Any recommendations?
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / I Need help finishing off a project. Not for the easily offended. on: August 08, 2005 07:00:01 AM
I hope this will not offend anyone but I am trying to finish up a knitted penis.  It is a for a gift, and I am almost done.  However I don't have any ideas on how to finish off the ummmm head.  Can any of you wonder knitters out there give me any ideas?

I did a row of increases, followed by a row of decreases, but it is not giving me the definition I want around the edge.  I thought about doing a whipstitch around it, but I would welcome any other ideas.

Has anyone else made these?

I found these terribly fun to knit.  I am going to make them for everyone in the family.  These are for my DS who is 6.  He was so excited to see them when he got home from school today he put them right on even though I told him they were not dry yet.  Cheesy

Here they are prefelting

And all finished

Does anyone have this book?  I got it for my birthday and I love it.  However on page 28 there is a basic petal 1 there that I want to make.  There seem to be no directions for it.  All of the other basic petals 2 and 3 have directions, but not the first one.

If you have it, does yours have the pattern for that petal?
