1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Ballet Camisole on: July 11, 2006 10:33:10 AM
I'm going to get started on the Ballet Camisole from the new Magknits tonight (I hope).  Take a look here - http://magknits.com/July06/ballet.htm.  It looks so simple and cute - a great easy and affordable summer knit.

I'll be using Knitpicks Shine Sport in Orchid.  Anyone care to join me?
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Lace Trim Bolero from VK Spring/Summer 2005 on: May 25, 2005 12:11:43 PM
I just finished my lace trim bolero and I'm very pleased.  A couple more pictures are on my blog (http://curlymo.blogspot.com).  The pattern was just complicated enough to keep me interested, but it did seem like the lace trim took forever.

Oh, and I love Knit Picks Shine (which is the yarn I subbed for the crazy expensive Fiesta La Luz called for in the pattern).

My apologies if the picture does not appear - you can see it here (http://curlymo.blogspot.com/2005/05/and-this-is-little-jacket-i-made.html) for sure.
3  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Cute apron pattern - Simplicity 4740 on: March 09, 2005 02:56:52 PM
I just finished this apron today. This was my first sewing project with a pattern, and I had some trouble figuring things out at first.  Now that I'm done, I have to say that this was worth the effort and fairly uncomplicated.  I think these would make great gifts!

Here's a pic of my finished work:

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Puppers - great Christmas gift idea! on: November 10, 2004 03:29:25 PM

Based on the Puppers pattern ( http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer03/PATTpuppers.html )from Knitty Summer 03, I used my free time this weekend to whip up a frog, an elephant, a bear, a pig (you can't see the cute curlique tail in the back), and a mouse - all from leftover yarn. They were so fun to make and really fast.  I'm sending them to my two-year-old nephew in Japan for Christmas and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fun gift for a little one.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Really easy hat on: September 22, 2004 03:10:52 PM
This is my first time posting a completed project.  This is a hat I just finished in time for the beginning of autumn.  It was so easy. I sort of followed the pattern here: http://www.groovy-mom.com/crafty/patterns/chunkyribbedhat.shtml, but I didn't use chunky yarn, I used some leftover Caron Simply Soft, with size 8 needles.  I also only made it 7.5 inches long instead of 9.

There's a picture here:

I think it will be cuter on my head.   Wink
