I'm glad to see so many interested in needle felting.  Grin
Its not that hard, but it is a time consuming past time.
Here is a basic tutorial I found on YouTube to give those some idea about what needle felting is about:

Thanks for all your wonderful comments everyone.  Grin

Where did you learn to needle felt?  Are you self-taught or did you have some one to show you?

I came across a book in a store purely by accident called Fleece Dog https://www.fleecedog.com/ and thought they were adorable and just had to try. The book had some great step by step instructions, and that's how I learned needle felting.

I think this little guy is going on my etsy shop later.  Smiley

I'm going to be in London for a few weeks and will be bringing my needle felting kit with me. I was wondering where I could find wool for needle felting that's not too far from London. Are there craft stores that cater to felters?
Any advice would be terrific.

I'm used to making dogs and cats, but this is my first teddy bear. It only took me 3 hours (my dogs take anywhere from 4-8 hours!) to create including the little birdy.
Its about 3.5 inches/90mm tall. It was fun to make something without real reference.  Smiley

They were about 65mm / 2.5 inches tall, so they fit in the palm of your hand.

Yep the cats are based on their kitties: a short haired snowshoe and a long haired bluepoint birman.
I was sent a few pics of them and I just went from there.  Smiley

Oh and the patterns are from this book:

Sew Soft Toys by Karin Neuschutz.

It has lots of cute animals to make.
