This is my second needle felt sculpture using poodle fur given to me by the owner of the dog.
 


I carded some of the fur with wool, then I embellished the sculpture with just the poodle fur so the curls were more obvious.

My second stab at using real dog fur, but this time I used a lot more as I was given quite a bit of it. So about 75% of it is actually poodle fur. I mixed the fur with some natural sheep wool (that happened to match perfectly) and I used it for the base of the sculpture. Then I used just the fur over the top, on the ears and on top of the head.

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

Ooh a pattern...

I kind of winged it!
Just chain as long as you want the scarf to be.
Then do a row of single crochet.
Then a row of puff stitch.
Change colour.
Then repeat.

That was basically it!

I thought the puffs would make a really cosy scarf, the extra stitches in the pattern would help keep your neck toasty war. 

So cute! Love the little orange one! 

I used puff stitch to make this scarf for a friend's birthday present. 





Its really long so it can be wrapped cosily around the neck at least twice.

Mine is all dry felted.
I use Corriedale and Romney wool and isn't as fuzzy as say Merino. Its coarser and not as silky as Merino.
I also trim the stray fibres with small scissors.
