I got the package from Indie Child last week. I'm sorry I haven't posted pictures before.

She made me a Slytherin hat and a scarf:


A pet bat (since the customs don't allow owls into Europe...)

Thank you so much, I've really been spoiled! I'll have to wait until next week or so to see the film though, since I still have a bad cold and a fever. I hope you got the package in time for the film, I went to the post office as soon as I was well enough to stand up...

Its like the vanilla you use for baking but just a different flavor and should be right next to the vanillla at the grocery store. The one I got is an artificial flavor because that's all they had but the one I got is supposed to be a mix of vanilla, butter and nut flavors. I still haven't used it but it smells like a marshmellow-ey vanilla mixed with a bit of butterscotch. It actually smells exactly how I imagined butter beer would taste so I can see why its used in all these recipies.

Ok. Cool. I have seen lemon and peppermint in shops here in Sweden, but no fancy butternut vanilla.

Hi saylo.    Flavorings or extracts are liquid flavors that are added to baked goods.  They are sometimes natural flavors, and sometimes artificial.  They are usually made by soaking the item in alcohol (like brewing tea), or are essential oils that are extracted.  They are sold in the baking aisle of grocery stores here in the US.  Here is the wikipedia article on them for you:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extract

In the baking aisle in the shops here I have found lemon an peppermint essences... And maybe vanilla. Hmm. But, I do know how to soak spices and things in alcohol or oil myself. I might have to do some thinking about this.

I got my package from misskohaku last week, but I have been working late (which means I'm really tired when I get home, and the lighting is bad..)
I had a day off today, so I finally got some photos of the great stuff she sent me.

Here is everything together:


The fabric in the background is 'something local', she is from Hawaii, and she got me a lovely blue Hawaiian fabric. See, they are not all full of a whole bunch of different colours. They can match themselves.

Something green:

The bag is reusable, also it is reversible and made from two really nice green fabrics. I can't decide on which side I want out, so I'll probably alternate all the time.

Something bumpy:

She also made me buttons. I have handmade buttons! I don't know what happened with the picture of the matching button which is black with red bumps.

Something tiny:

Misskohaku made me a truly adorable pin cushion. I might have to hide it when my baby cousins come visit, or they might try and eat it. It looks great!

Senders choice:

Glass beads. A girl can never have too many glass beads, am I right?!

I'm becoming more and more curious about all those flavourings you guys are talking about. I have never heard of any of it, and never seen things like it in the shops here in Sweden. What is that stuff? Is it natural flavour essences, or is it artificial flavours, or a combination?

I got my package a couple of days ago too, I PMed misskohaku when I got it. I can't believe it was her first swap.
I have been working late/strange hours, so it has been a bit too dark for me to get decent photos, but tomorrow I have a day off, so I'll get some pictures of the nice things she sent me.

I agree with Polka Face, the dress is a bit big on you. It looks a bit like a nightgown, but I bet it is really comfortable.
Don't be afraid to accentuate your waist or boobs.

The stuff I ordered is here! I'm going shopping in town on Wednesday, after that I have some swatching and counting to do... After that... Fun stuff! And after that, I have to get busy.

I ordered some crafting supplies a few days ago, and now I'm trying to plan the edible part of the package... I might have to make a few trial-runs, so I guess by friends in the theatre group might have to be my tasters/Guinea pigs... Poor creatures.

Oh no, I missed the sign ups!
I though we had til the 25:th to sign up (meaning sign ups closing at midnight...) and I have been out of town for the weekend, and I did not have time to do it earlier this week.
