This was my first "real" crochet project. I am a knitter, but I wanted to venture out a bit. In my very humble inexperienced opinion, crochet is the easier technique for making large projects. I wanted to do something a little different, and I am not a fan of the turning chain (I will just have to get over it eventually). So I made the blanket in a big spiral. I increased stitches a little too quickly at the beginning, so there is some wavy-ness. But I like it.
The yarn is 100% cotton (Peaches and Cream) in a few different colors. It is a present for one of my many friends who have just had a baby or are pregnant (mostly with boys!).
I forgot to measure the diameter, but I would estimate that it is about 2 1/2-3 feet across.
