I'm so happy I finally took the time ... it was SUPER easy! Thanks Vegbee for the easy ... awesome tute!!
I made it for my 20mo DD... no action shots yet ... she's not in the mood! LOL

This tee was alittle too tight in the top for me, almost like they made the armholes too little ... anyways, I chopped it up & used scraps from a red tee I had and made a cute little tube top!

While browsing Craftster yesterday, I came across Ghilie's Tittyfish, my 3yo DD saw and insisted on having one .... NOW! Well ... she would not let me wait for a tute from Ghilie so, I had to come up with my own ... LOL. Now pattern maker I'm not, I'm new to all the sewing and stuff! Well, I didn't want to hear her plead anymore so I made a fish! Came out half decent! I present "Goldie":




She's a little lumpy, but DD loves her and that's all that matters! NO more whining! LOL

I made a new stuffie last night too! For my 3yo DD, She's named it "Goldie" ... I got the inspiration from Ghilie's tittyfish ... but my dd insisted on having one NOW!!! LOL so I figured up my own pattern and voila ... I present goldie!





Thanks for the idea Ghilie!! DD loves her, and soon I will introduce Goldie & Funbun!!

Ok, so I wanted to try to draft my own pattern, did that, then I was afraid if I had measured wrong or anything I would mess up good fabric, soooo, I took an Old Tshirt and chopped it up appling my pattern! It actually turned out half way decent! I need to make a few adjustments, but here it is:

First the measurements:

trace all of your pattern onto a tshirt:
NOTE: I made the waist pieces and the front & back of shirt half size and cut them out on a fold:

And I liked the look, but the tie wrap thing won't work for the kiddos, so I just sewed up the outside of the legs and only put in one "all the way around" tie! Thanks vegbee!

Yay! I have been dying to try this ... so I had an ugly old women's plus size dress shirt from some stuff my mom gave me to to cut up! I love the fabric, so I made a Cheytown dress for my 9yo DD! I love it! Sorry I forgot to take before pics, I was so anxious to chop it up!

I used the collar of the shirt for the front little flappy thingy (LOL), it was my first time pleating too! I centered it and pleated out from each side so that the collar edge would stick out on either side of the straps:

Oh, and I used the neckline (under the collar) and top button to make a matching headband!

Ok! I am so happy! I made my DD a dress ... it's not crooked or messed up in anyway ... and (drum roll please!) IT FITS!! You all have taught me well!!! I used a circle skirt and attached it to a tube-like top, add the straps & voila! It took about 1 hour (only cause I am not so great at taking the measurements & making them work!) LOL
So .. here it is!
Yes ... she is a ham!


And ... you can not post a toddler dress without the inevitable "twirl shot"!!
