6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: decoupaged shoes on: June 15, 2008 12:27:50 AM
Those are really cute! Your problem may have been because the decoupage may not have had time to cure, and it does need a clear top coat over it. It may help also the paper adhere better if you rough up the shoe surface before you glue things on and give it lots of drying time. Reread the entire label because decoupage has real specific steps to follow to get a good result. Hope that helps!
7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: about 100 "gold" id bracelets on: June 10, 2008 01:38:05 AM
I know this is an old post, but you could spray paint them black or red, and for the smooth surface, cut out and glue on a phrase cut from a sexy novel. Then at each side, attach a little charm. High heels or some cherries would be cute I think. Or use a band name glued on or written with a fine paint pen, with some other kinds of charms around the wrist. Skulls, music notes, stars, multi colored guitar picks, or extra added chain attached by rings every inch or so dangling would be cool.  What do you think?  This is my first post and I LOVE this site!
