11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Clock Work Orange Headband on: August 16, 2010 11:36:18 AM
After much hard work in college this summer, I finally have off for two weeks. In doing so, I have my first project done. I went to Wal-Mart and could not find the exact orange that I wanted, and decided to just sand the headband and use acrylics. I then sprayed it with clear spray paint, and added plastic armatures from my very old and HUGE but broken 1979 Garfield clock.

I am in the process of making a shirt to go with this headband.

Side image of my head- Sorry pic is cruddy, I was cleaning and very into it. LOL

I let my Panda take over

and again

I hope you like it, and as soon as the shirt is complete I will have a dual shot.
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Punk Accessories before finale exam on: August 12, 2010 10:37:32 AM
I was getting ready for class this morning, and I made the headband last week. Looked at myself and said. I need something else, so what does a girl do 30 minutes before a final. LOL Make earrings of course.

Sorry action shot not the greatest.

Headband was black cheap one from Family Dollar and one of my old belts that was really worn out.

Earrings are black seat belt strap, studs, and Safety pins

Thanks for looking.
13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Alice (American McGee's) Outfit on: March 06, 2010 04:59:55 PM
After finishing my oldest daughter's Mad Hatter... I had to immediately start the Alice dress....and just in time. I finished it at 11:35 last night. It was needed by 10 am. YAY ME! for making a deadline.

Anyway, here she is....

Well, I hope everyone likes it. She and her sister were asked to have pictures taken by spectators in the mall. It was fun for everyone that showed up.
14  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Finished Daughters Mad Hatter... on: March 02, 2010 07:10:55 PM

We chose a house to finalize on and during all the packing and getting things ready I had less than a week to do this entire costume. I am still trying to find time to start my youngest daughters Alice from American McGee costume done. Anyway, I hope everyone likes that outcome.

15  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Off With His HAAAAT! pic heavy on: February 26, 2010 03:32:03 PM
Okay, My daughter is highly into cosplaying. So, she comes to me one day last year and says.....Tim Burton is making Alice in Wonderland. Where I reply.... DUH

I have been VERY BUSY back in school myself after all these years. Well, break comes up and I am finally able to start working on her mad hatter costume. I forgot to take pics of the low cut boots. I found a great pair of  boots but they were long...so naturally I cut those down. I am almost finished with the rest of the costume once that is done, which will probably be tomorrow. I will post those here as well.

Anyway, here is my take on the hat. I added a little stuff for my own fun. LOL

16  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Yule Wreath on: December 11, 2009 11:15:49 AM
I have been super busy lately and have had little time to do much. I did take the time to make a Yule Wreath for our house. We aren't really decorating much this year as it is going to be VERY empty as in the way of gifts. But, we will be spending time together and that is all that matters. So here is our main decor for Yule that my son and I made. LOL

Hope you like it.
17  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Tofu Marinades help on: August 25, 2009 07:37:02 AM

I love to marinade all my tofu so that I can eat similar items that my meat eating family eat. The problem is when I cut open my several days worth of marinading tofu...the inside is still white and has not soaked up the flavors.

Anyone have any helpful ideas for this?

Thanks!
18  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / I made my first memo notebook (TAB) on: August 25, 2009 05:32:19 AM

I was bored watching Wizard of Oz last night, but my son was messing around with my Tab carton. I noticed the design under the box had individual 'cans'. Next thing I knew I was cutting away at paper and making my first memo book.

Just in time for class to start back up...<sarcasm>oh how I long for Medical Law and Ethics class to begin</sarcasm> Tongue Cheesy
19  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / The Eye has it! (image heavy) on: July 28, 2009 06:02:00 AM
Okay so my instructor wanted us to create an eye from a marble for my medical term class. I said, "I haven't got marbles (insert giggles here) can I please use a different medium that I have?" Thank god, she said, "Sure."

So, I found some yarn in my small stash that I had and created this eye, which I am more than sure will be the best eye there.  I mean this was for an extra 50 free points why not take some time on it, right?

I really do not know how to make patterns or anything like that. I just kind of went for it and the nerve endings are a right funny way they came about. I do not even think I could put it in words...I had roughly 6 links left and crocheted 2 together and from that I chained randomly between 17 on one...and another ch 2tg I did 20 and on that last ch2tg I did 25 chains....and on each of those single chains I went back up the said chains with 3 single crochet in each ch...and on one I did 2 sc in each ch. and went back to 3sc in each ch because I did not like the one with 2...lol I sure hop that makes sense. LOL

Well, it is done and will go with me tonight to class.
20  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Geek Welcome Mat on: May 14, 2009 12:44:46 PM
Okay, so my DH reads Bash.org a lot and He found someone who said this wonderful idea. So naturally I had to make it.

Nothing fancy, but still love to my hubby!
