3  Re: My country doesn't have that 2 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by lucertola on: November 08, 2005 09:07:46 AM
Yay, I finally came back home and found a giant box from princessliak. It spoiled me with a shower of delightful gifts.
Lia is a climber and a mountain lover and had the lovely idea of sending me pictures of the places she loves most. I  wish I could see some in the future because they look truly wonderful.
The box was full of:  delicious candies and gums, there was a super soft pair of gloves (lia, it seems we had the same idea, ins't it?), two sets of lovely stationery (I'm really addicted to stationery!), scented bath confettis, several crochet magazines (here in Italy we don't have ANY crochet mag, can you believe that?! You can then imagine how happy I was to find these), gorgeous yarn skeins, lovely sewing supplies, pictures of stunning landscapes and flowers and a cd mix... Have a look!

Thank you so much Lia for having been sucha a great swap partner and for having made my day with these gifts!

Dearest SC,
please forgive my horrible pics. I've just come back home from a long vacation and I found your amazing surprise waiting for me. You never end to amaze me with your incredible talent and your kindness.
I DO LOVE YOU!
Unfortunately my boyfriend threw away the box where there was your address... But since the partner change has already started, will you be so nice to send it to me via pm? I'd really love to send you a "thank you note".
You have been such a treasure partner that I'd love to make something for you.

*Here's the incredibly beautiful owl pillow my SC made me. Can you believe I still haven't realized who my angel SC is?!*

*From left to right: a vintage beading magazine, assorted bath salts, a lovely letter, a hand sewn tiny pouch that contained a shiny ring in my favourite colors, one of the two beautiful hand sewn floral pouches that contained the bath salts*

Even there's no way to express you all the joy you gifted me and my gratitude, dearest SC, I want to let you know that you've been one of the sweetest person I ever met online.

7  Summer bags and totes (lots of pics!) in Crochet: Completed Projects by lucertola on: May 28, 2005 11:52:23 AM
These are some of the recent totes and bags I've been working on lately.
Most of them were made for swaps and presents for friends who needed something to carry stuff at the beach. I used a 100% very resistant cotton thread and worked with a tiny hook (2.50 mm, I think it corresponds to a US B) to obtain a thick fabric.

8  Re: ~Wish Swap Gallery~ in The Swap Gallery by lucertola on: May 21, 2005 05:28:04 AM
Today I received a super huge package coming from my partner SKN725
My wish was to receive anything sewed in orange.
I couldn't believe my eyes!
Sandra made some researches on the city I lived in and since she found out I live in the South of Italy, she thought of making me a coordinated beach set.

*This giant bag has a F on the pocket...*

*and can contain a big beach towel...*

*...together with a useful pillow!*

Do you think this is enough? Well, it's NOT!

*Sandra made me also a gorgeous tote...*

*...with an amazing flower...*

*...and even a personalized label!*

*Then she thought of making me a striking wristlet pouch...*

*...all embroidered and personalized!*
The package also contained a beautiful brooch (whose pic will be added after I reload the batteries) and a scarf. It felt like it was my bithday+Christmas+New year's Eve alltogether! I can't imagine how much work and time it took to make all these things.
They're so detailed and accurately sewed and designed... The things I sent her aren't even 1% as beautiful as these ones. I swear I never made such a breathless swap before.
Now, Sandra, I'm gonna make you some other things to tell you how grateful I am and how much I liked your presents.

SANDRA, I HAVE NO WORDS TO EXPRESS YOU MY GRATITUDE. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
