11  Back-to-School Forest Friends Dress 4 pics in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by ThirdMargaret on: August 23, 2009 08:15:11 PM
I got this dress at Target last year thinking I could *do something* with it.  Jenny's Forest Friends was a natural choice!  (natural, heh heh Tongue) I finally got around to stitching it up and she is excited to wear it to school.     please excuse the lint and such...should've gotten the roller after it!

12  Teacher Gifts in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ThirdMargaret on: June 12, 2009 08:53:02 PM
I typically make something for my children's teachers.  Sometimes I bake, sometimes knit, this year I decided to make the oh-so-popular (and easy!) Buttercup Bags and matching tissue holders.  I made the bags as the pattern was written, except that I added fusible fleece to the inside and strap.

I found this fabric in the remnants and the contrast lining was from a different line, but I liked them together!

These two used Alexander Henry Kleo, Mocca, and coordinating Bangle Dots:

Hobby Lobby fabric...my 15 yr old put this  bag to use before I could tell her its intended recipient!  Oh well!

These little bags are great fun and simple to construct.  As many have mentioned though, enlarge the pattern if you carry much more than keys, lip gloss, credit card, and a cell phone! Smiley

Thanks for looking!

13  For a Friend in Needlework: Completed Projects by ThirdMargaret on: March 03, 2009 11:13:56 AM
One of my dearest friends has really gone above anf beyond helping me lately so I wanted to stitch a little thank you.  She is also a rep for Stampin' Up so I pilfered a stamp, stamped, scanned, enlarged, and traced.  This is the result...I hope she likes.

14  My Little Valentine in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by ThirdMargaret on: February 14, 2009 12:02:10 PM
I think this is the first thing I've ever posted that wasn't part of a swap! Tongue

My youngest needed an outfit to wear for her first grade Valentine Party at school Thursday.  Yay!  I raided the fabric stash and made this using a pattern from YCMT>  The tee is from Tarzhay, embellished at the neckline and wrist with heart buttons.

And here it is in action.  It twirls beautifully but my pictures were awful (worse than this one! Shocked)

Thanks for looking...C & C welcome!

15  Re: Valentines Embroided Tea towel .:. Send out 02/03 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by ThirdMargaret on: February 06, 2009 07:18:46 PM
Okay...I told you to warm up your Wist buttons!!  Here's what I received from ineedart:

First, the whole lot.  In addition to the incredible tea towel she sent a beautiful accordion book (in my favorite color!) and a lovely little bracelet  done in a *hugs and kisses* pattern!  I've had to fight my girls off of both things...they're like magpies when it comes to pretty things! Cheesy

Aren't the birds just Gorgeous?!  And I love how she stitched on fabric then sewed it onto the tea towel!  SO clever!

Here's a close-up of ineedart's magnificent stitching!  That woven stitch is the coolest...gotta figure out where to use that myself one day!

Thank You so much, ineedart!  There's no way any grubby hands are touching this work of art!!

XOXO, Meg

Love that vintage Christmas towel!

Here's mine, home again, home again!  Everyone did such a great job and I'm thrilled with it.  I still need to add the leaves to my tree and binding, but I'll post a pic again after!

Here's my addition to Therisa's towel/runner.  (Thanks to Beetastic for the design hint!)  I  drew the design based on some Fred Flare coin purses on her wists.

Amy, Sewsew, Ritapizza, Ginamonster!  Such adorable designs.  I love learning of all the new places to look for pictures to stitch!  (and I gotta buy that Sublime pattern... Smiley)

Here's what I finally finished for Dona Leonor's towel.  I did everything but the actual mushrooms free-hand...probably not my best idea! Roll Eyes  I do like the way her towel is coming together, though!  (please excuse the hoop marks!)

And close-ups:

Hope you like it, Dona Leonor!!  It was fun!
