I've got half my roof covered with pinecone 'shingles'. Here's a picture of the blank house I'm starting with - a 2 room CD holder:
Then some pine cone carnage as I pulled the shingles off (what's that part of the pine cone called, anyway?). This was tough on the fingers, and involved cleaning up with goo-gone afterward.
And finally, half the roof. You can see my shiny E6000, but I think it came out pretty well. It wasn't easy gluing curved pieces to a flat roof, but I'm excited about my Borrowers' tree house
just have to trim the edges yet....
