I have been wanting to try out some of the tutorials that I have seen on here, so I decided to make coordinating dresses and skirts for my daughter (5 months) and my 3 nieces, ages 2, 4, and 5. I was pretty happy with how they turned out, and my boys even helped me by modeling for me, as my nieces live across the country.
I hope to have pictures of all the girls in August when we all get together. The material is $2/yard from Wal-Mart, so all of these cost me less than $15!
Baby's dress is Simplicity 4243, view F, with some modifications. I had trouble with the bias tape and ended up ripping out the binding in the neck and making my own. My first zipper, too!
Toddler A line is Simplicity 6578, without the appliques and with an added ruffle.
First skirt is the ruffle skirt tutorial from grand revival design.
Second skirt is the twirly skirt tutorial from houseonhillroad.
Last picture is my silly boys modeling for me. Do you like the hairbows in the mohawks?!
This will be great blackmail for when they are older! Thanks for looking!
