You know, there is a great video clip at www.stitchguide.com on how to do color changes, it totally helped me, if you haven't seen it you should take a look.

Michael's carries Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool, it only comes in off white, but you can dye it with sugar-free Kool-Aid...

I think you can Google instructions for that, i've seen them before.

I think they are from the 70's .    Does anyone have a* free* resource for these patterns? I've been looking, but haven't had any luck finding anything so far.....

If you are going to do a search for one call it a "Snood".  I believe that is what they call them.
