For me it's not the sore thumbs that's the issue, it's the neck cramp from leaning down over the rose, the frustration as the last few petals are usually the hardest to get on aside from the very first petal, and of course stabbing myself repeatedly with the wire... >>..
On the subject of gamer wedding songs though, my fiancee and I are planning to do a duet of "Still Alive" from Portal. Assuming I can train myself to remain on key, I'm supposed to sing high, but as soon as he starts singing my voice wants to go lower to blend in with his.
Also, if I can find somewhere to put it in, I want to have the main theme from Katmari Damacy in there somewhere.. I play co-op mode on "We love Katamari" with one of my bridesmaids so much, I figure it'll be worth it just for the look on her face.
We're trying to very subtly infuse the party with some of our personality (e.g. Mii cake toppers ; p) We were talking the other night about video game music (my fiance loves it, we help out at a vg music radio show every week) and how to most people it would just sound like pleasant classical music. So we're thinking about playing some during dinner, and were also thinking about incorporating Love and Peace from Earthbound into the ceremony somewhere (you can hear it here, but we have a much nicer orchestral version from an album I got in Japan a while back: http://www.earthboundhq.com/soundtrack.htm ).
Oooh! I'm going to have to track down that song, my fiancee loves earthbound. It'd be great if I could suprise him with that song playing during the wedding!
Okay, I've used the search function, google, everything, and I can't remember for the life of me where I saw this. Someone, somewhere, did a bouquet with the stems wrapped like a katana hilt. I know there's a word for how the katana is wrapped, but I can't for the life of me find a tutorial, and it's how I was hoping ot wrap my bouquet stems.
Has anyone seen the tutorial I'm thinking of somewhere? Also if anyone knows other forms of ribbon wraps that might look cool, that'd be awesome too. ^^
Eeeheehee, I don't mind copycats. I was just copying someone else, anyhow. Lovely colors you have there, I'm actually making a few blue roses for my Aunt, well, Aunt-in-law. She's doing an award or something and she asked me for a bunch, I'm enjoying the excuse to play with new colors.
You'll have to post some photos from your wedding when your done with the roses, though! I've got a million left yet to make, and I haven't even finished putting together all my wedding favors yet either. So many little scrolls to tie.. oo;
Good luck, and I hope to see more pics from you later!
