1  Creepy Clock (pictures!) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kickinglemons on: October 05, 2008 11:22:11 AM
I started with this clock:

It was an old one that I don't think ever once told the correct time and always looked out of place in my once bright blue-now gray room. However, I grew accustomed to the (rather loud) sound it made and cannot fall asleep without it.

What to do?

As a major fan of halloween, I searched extensively online to find a good subtly-eery picture that I liked. I decorate my room for halloween so I this was a great time to revamp this clock.

Here is the new version. You can no longer see the hands, but I never used them anyway. Now it fits in with my room, fits in for halloween, and still makes the ticking noise!

P.S. It's tilted on purpose

4  Mosaic for a friend [pics inside] in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by kickinglemons on: August 14, 2008 10:02:22 PM
This is a present for my friend's birthday. Her name is Sophia. I wanted to do something inexpensive and creative and so I went to Michaels planning to get a "S" that I could cover in a great fabric for her to hang on her wall, but instead came up with making a mosaic using colors from her newly decorated room. It is blue and beachy. I bought some sea glass, little mirrors, and the "S." The seashells are from my own personal collection, as are the little jewels.

She seemed to really like it so I am pleased.

Comments would be appreciated. Sorry for the low quality of the photos. They are from my phone.
