4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / help finding cowgirl embroidery pattern. on: August 01, 2005 10:29:05 AM
I'm trying to find a cowgirl embroidery pattern.  i know sublime stitching has one, but i haven't got any money right now to buy it.  Can anyone help me find a graphic online that i can use for embroidery.  I've been looking through coloring page ones, but their all cartoony.

Thanks.  Smiley
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / how to smocked top on: July 24, 2005 08:29:43 PM
i'm trying to figure out how to make a smocked top.

Something like this one: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=4745&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=10&iSubCat=12&iProductID=4745

Now, would i just take some thin elastic and stretch it while sewing every half inch/inch?  Should i use stretchy fabric, or dosen't it matter?  And how much should i allow for the elastic pull?  i also want the bottom part to flare more, should i just add more inches and ruche it?

Sorry for the questions, especially if this has already been asked.  Just trying to figure it out in my head, and i'm just verfying my thoughts. lol

Thanks, in advance.  Wink
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Need help finding sisters/friend charms on: July 18, 2005 01:54:25 PM
I'm looking for a break apart charm/pendant.  That says sisters and friends, or something along those lines.

My brother-in-law died this past week, and because of this the whole family has gotten closer.  My sister-in-law is 14 and i want to get her and me a break apart pendant/charm that says sisters and friends.  I can't seem to find one that says both.  Can anyone help me find one?  Thanks so much.

10  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Crafting for Fundraiser in PA on: June 30, 2005 04:44:04 PM
I'm setting up a craft table at a fundraiser on July 23rd.  Just thought i'd post to see if anyone wants to join me in being crafty and selling our goods.

Fundraiser info:

On Saturday, July 23rd(raindate July 24th) we will be having a fundraiser for Larie Thomas.
Larie is about to face her THIRD Battle of cancer, she is all of 22 yrs old, at age 19 she was diapgnosed w/ colon cancer, only have to endure another battle a year later, now having been well for a few years its back!  She will have to travel Ohio for a sonsultation adn then an operation, floolwed be chemo in Philly. At 22 that is enough to handle, let alone the loss of work, travel expenses, medicines and other things not coverd by insurance.

On Saturday July 23rd from 8 am to 2:30 pm we are going to hold a fundraiser in the parking lot of STOPPER's restaurant on Rt. 422 in Exeter.  We are going to combine all your usual events into one fun day for everyone.  It will include a yard/bake/craft sale, raffles, and a few games for the kids (w/ prizes), even entertainment.

All money raised will go into a "medical/travel expense" account and used for the purpose only, if all money is not used any remaining will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Thank you in advance for you help andcaring.
Lets come together as a community and make a tough young life a little easier.

You get to keep what you make at the table you set up.  I'm donating a handmade purse and giving $10 for the space.

Just thought I'd pass this along for whoever is interested.  If you can't make it, and would like to make something, or help out, let me know.  I'd be willing to sell something for you, or donate something for you.
