1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Dress from old curtain on: May 28, 2009 06:48:54 PM
What a great style for that fabric!  I'll have to check out Mod Kids Kyoko.  Don't you just love  sewing for toddlers?

Check out all the Mod Kids patterns - they are all really gorgeous actually.  Just finding the time to sew them up is another thing, but yep it's great fun sewing for toddlers. Wink

This is the Mod Kids Kyoko pattern and it's really really easy to follow.  So easy in fact that I made 2 yesterday in just over an hour!!  It is a little big on my DD as I made the size 2 (but best be too big than too small right).

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Bird on a branch maternity dress on: May 04, 2009 03:00:53 AM

Made for a pregnant friend of mine (modelled by me - who is not pregnant).

I found this pattern at the op shop for $0.50c and thought it was cute and IMO looks good even if your not pregnant.

This was also my first ever attempt at freezer paper stencilling, thought I'd try something easyish so went with the bird on a branch.

Opinions welcome.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Olivia Nautical Dress on: April 24, 2009 11:13:17 PM
I made this outfit using the Farbenmix Olivia pattern.  And omg does this pattern just rock!!! So easy to put together and it looks so comfortable to wear too (do you think I'd look funny if I made one in my size lmao)!

The little anchor is detachable (I snapped it onto the ribbon) so I can take it off before washing to avoid it getting trashed in the wash.

I'm a big Beatles fan too... love the fabric! Is it just fabric panels stitched on or a couple different fabrics patched together?

It's a combo of different fabrics  Wink

The fabric is from Spotlight which dosn't normally have such awesome prints.  It's Cranston Village if that's any help?

She is awefully darn cute!  Love the outfit!  Did you applique it or are you so talented that you were able to paint those cute creatures on there!  Shocked

It's appliqued - I am no where near talented to be able to paint them on lol.

My DD has a cold and really didn't want to have her pic taken today but she still sat there anyway and let me snap one picture of her before she had enough - what a trooper she is!

Bring on easter now as I am ready!! lol

10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Banafana Pattern on: March 25, 2009 09:01:09 PM
I have found my new favourite pattern!! The Bananafana 'Plush and Fancy' pattern

http://www.bananafanadesigns-byjess.blogspot.com/

However, I didn't have any 'plush' material, so made it in not so plush material and I think it looks just as good.  The top I made months ago - and forgot about, but remembered when I was searching for what type of top would suit this outfit.
