1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / essential kit container swap (edit) :) on: February 01, 2005 09:08:35 PM
So, I have juvenile diabetes (type I) and I find that I have no cute holder for any of my multiple necessities that need to go in a bag, purse, etc...basically whereever I go. Does anyone have this problem and if so, would anyone be up for a little swaparoo of a bag with places for diabetes stuff? Let me know. It may be far fetched...but I have yet to find anything that I actually LIKE! It could even for those who have health related problems and need something to hold all of their stuff.

INTRODUCING!!!... a fairly basic bracelet I made in the wee hours of last night. My local bead store had a good deal on these lovely japanese beads so I bought some colors and wove myself a bracelet. Smiley It fits snugly and looks great with a black shirt. Woo hoo.

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / A blues box. on: December 01, 2004 09:06:03 PM
Hi!

I have a guy friend and he is really down. He is an artsy type and just broke up with his girlfriend...well, sort of. I wanted to make him something fun, but not over exhuberant...someth ing like a blues box. Does anyone have ideas about what I should put in it? I was going to make a batch of flubber as a stress reliever and maybe some good chocolate....but any other ideas?

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / oh, how i love flowers on: November 05, 2004 01:41:56 AM
Maybe this has already been posted, but I am obsessed with flowers. I made this necklace, and about a dozen others this summer. Some I didn't even use ribbon, I used tulle (sp?) or beaded strands with a flower. I got obsessed after going to Nordstrom and realizing that I too could make something so fashionable without spending 25 dollars for each one. Smiley I'll maybe post my others when I unpack them.

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / floating pearl necklace on: October 31, 2004 10:44:14 PM
Hey! I just bought some awesome pearls online. I want to make one of those floating pearl necklaces to go with some earrings I just made. Does anyone know how to make these? It looks fairly simple, but I don't know how to keep the beads in place. I am not too much of a bead person!

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / swarovski beads on: October 30, 2004 09:22:56 PM
Hello guys! I need some help, I was wondering if any online company sells swarovski beads piece per piece, rather then in a strand/vial? I want various colors and types, but I can only find places that sell it in large quantities. However, I also wanted to boast an awesome bead place in my town--www.harlequinbeads.com. If you sign up for their mailing list, you get major discounts!!

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Jazz Collage on: September 27, 2004 10:39:25 PM
I am a nut for jazz...so during my jazz class today, I thought of this awesome idea--make a jazz collage with all the jazz greats. It is in black and white, and I plan to do a blue iridescent overlay (it is sort of a polymer type stuff that you can use with pottery). It is sweet. I will try to upload my pictures and post them tomorrow! WOO HOO. I am new at this, so my projects may seem quite juvenile at first.

Kathleen Wink

Updated with links! Smiley The pictures don't do it justice. I tried to take them so they didn't have glare, the first one is just a partial picture of one of the collages. I am thinking of doing this on one my tables. It turned out really well and artsy.
