4  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / easy and inexpensive ren faire costume suggestions? on: April 22, 2013 07:14:08 AM
I am going to be a vendor at a Renaissance Faire in early June ... along with getting product ready, I also *need* to get a costume put together ... any suggestions for a matronly figure? I have been perusing the forums, but links are broken and pics are missing and I'm getting nowhere (fast) ...

Thanks for any help!!!!

6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: HELP - what are these things? on: June 21, 2012 06:16:57 AM
I think the bent thing is for following previous rows of stitching...I can't think of what it is called, but you attach it somehow to part of the foot and use it to keep your stitching lines so far apart (I could be  wrong, but the flat part of it looks  like what I use for this purpose).
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: E-reader pouch! on: February 29, 2012 04:16:51 PM

I'm going to be working on a case for my brand-spanking-new Kindle (just got it today) and you have given me some inspiration Smiley

9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / in honor of the the beginning of Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere... on: September 24, 2011 03:52:14 PM
...my dd doodled. She loves Autumn. She is currently working on a Fantasy novel for her creative writing class and somehow the image of autumn trees and a phoenix became something she had to get out of her head and this was born:

it has nothing to do with her novel, so she had to get it out of the way before she could get back to work Smiley
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery, 2011 on: July 16, 2011 11:53:31 AM
I participated in a personal swap with squire_inaria and just received this lovely poppet Smiley I asked if she could make one for my dd...

based on this design (from said dd):

I have to admit that squire_inaria noticed more details than I did!

I plan to give this to my dd for her birthday Smiley

Thanks for swapping!
