PINKY is know as a Skinny because the only hair he has is on his nose and feet.  There is a Baldwin and they are completely hairless.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: WWJD (Wrist warmers just done!) on: March 30, 2009 04:48:29 PM
thanks, nuttywoman!  My friend is enamored with purple, so it was an easy choice.

Ryana, I'm a firm believer that if you don't use words, you lose them!!!  Besides, how often can you use "festooned" in a sentence and get by with it?   Cheesy
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / WWJD (Wrist warmers just done!) on: March 30, 2009 12:07:29 PM
I just finished these for a friend who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis.  She is very much a frilly gal who likes to "girly-girl" it up, so no plain warmers for her!  I knitted them simply in k4p4 ribbing but used purple, fuzzy yarn.  Then I edged them in black, sparkly yarn.  I added a lacy (sort of) edge and festooned them with abalone buttons from my grandmother's button box.

My friend is already enjoying them, now it's your turn to vicarously enjoy!

Very cool conversion!!!

I love your daughter's name.  What are your other kids' names?  Are they as unique?

I am very impressed with how you mixed colors in the wine glass to resemble liquid.  Good job!

9  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ NOV on: November 04, 2008 09:46:10 AM
I prefer to crochet them together from the right side.  It gives it a nice ridge in between each square.
