11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Disney swap??? on: February 05, 2012 10:57:44 AM
So after watching the princess & the frog last night, I realized there hasn't been a disney swap for a while.  I'm not able to organize but would love to participate if someone wants to organize.

13  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / mickey mouse keychain on: January 19, 2012 09:52:36 PM
I made this for a friend at work who recently broke up with her BF of 5 years, to hopefully cheer her up a little.  She's also a disney fanatic!  needless to say, she loved it, and happily sports it on her keychain now Cheesy

14  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Moshi Monster! on: January 19, 2012 09:48:39 PM
So I made this for my nephew for christmas.  I originally had planned on crocheting him his moshi monster, but I couldn't find the right shade of green in fun fur, so I went with faux fir instead!  This just about killed my 30+ year old singer!  But he was totally worth it.  My Nephew loves him!!!  It's the fist time I've ever worked with fur.  He was a pretty easy pattern to work up, seeing as how he's just a giant square  Cheesy  But next time, I know not to stuff his feet before i sew them on......... I should already know this lol.  I hand stitched the eyes and mouth on. I stuffed his lips before sewing to give them the puffy look.  Any tips for working with fur would be greatly aprreciated! as I bought a whole yard of the green fur, plus some other colors (the fur was a remnant on sale for $17 instead of $30)

Here he is! Cheesy

And here's my nephew after unwrapping him

i guess he's been sleeping with him every night.  I just wish I could remember what his name was.
Thanks for looking.
15  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Mounted deer head on: January 19, 2012 09:30:31 PM
So, I made this for my big brother, mostly as a joke.  he got a small deer this year, and so teasing, I crocheted him an "actual size" head of his deer ;P  Needless to say, he really liked it Smiley
I got the pattern from RoxyCraft, it's her rory the raindeer pattern, that you can find on her blog.  Her pattern didn't have ears, so I added them, I think it looks better that way Smiley

The box I put it in lol (sisterly love at it's finest!)

Here he is after opening the box, he was relieved  Tongue
16  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / amineko on: January 19, 2012 09:25:38 PM
I love the amineko and I believe this is the 3rd or 4th amineko I've made.  I made this one for my nephew for christmas and he loved it.  Orange his is favorite color and he loves cats, but sadly the poor guy is allergic to them.  I always follow the pattern for the head and body, but always make the legs, arms and tail longer. Hope you all like him

And here is my nephew with his present Smiley

(he really was happy to get it, I know it doesn't look like it in the pic, but he liked it!)
17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Misc decoden items on: January 19, 2012 09:16:02 PM
I hope this is in the right spot, I wasn't sure where else to put it.

This is an altoid tin I did,the side is covered in brown glue i bought for my hot glue gun.  It's to supposed to give it a kind of fudge look.

The next are some jars I did.  I think I'm going to put some candy in them and give them away for valentines day.

This next one used to be a toothbrush holder that I found at goodwill for like 0.50 and thought it would make a cute pencil/pen holder instead. Smiley

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / A bunch of necklaces and bracelets! (img heavy!) on: January 19, 2012 09:08:12 PM
I was a little busy before christmas,  unfortunately, none of these were christmas gifts.  I'm stock piling Smiley
Would love to know what you all think Smiley

This first set I actually made for myself.  It's amber.  I love amber!  It's one of my favorite stones (??) and I have been dying for an amber necklace forever!!

A simple freshwater pearl and abalone shell necklace

A faux amber charm bracelet

I made 3 freshwater pearl with clay roses braclets.  Each one is a different color.  I can't wait to make more of these.  I think they turned out cute Smiley

would love to know what everyone thinks Smiley
19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chunky charm bracelets on: January 19, 2012 09:02:45 PM
these are some bracelets I made.

I made this set as a gift for my SIL, she loved it! It was my first time making a ring like this.  I'm super happy with it, and now I want to make more!!

Here she is wearing it! I need to make it just a little bigger for her.

I love the colors for this one!

This one I made for my partner in the MYB swap

20  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Decoden pendants on: January 19, 2012 08:07:46 PM
These are the first projects that I have completed this year  Smiley  I really like the way they turned out.  I got the clay fruit pieces off etsy. I got 100 canes for like $15, so I couldn't pass that up.  I've had the glass pendants for a while, i had originally bought them to use as an altered scrabble pendant type thing, but the glass is frosted and doesn't work very well for what I had bought them for, but it works great for decoden! Cheesy  Would love some feedback to know what you all think. Smiley

group shot, and now a close up of each individual one

it's hard to see but I also used brown hot glue on the sides to give it a chocolate drizzle effect, and the macaroons aren't dirty, they're kind of a strawberry chocolate mix.
