1  Little mermaid amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Tygermane on: June 24, 2013 05:23:06 PM
I made this for a friend who loves anything Disney!  It's the first mermaid I ever made and really wanted to see how tail would turn out.  I'm really  happy with the way she turned out! It's also the first time I've brushed out yarn for the hair.  I had to use so much yarn for the hair! lol and now I have a tone of extra yarn fluff, not sure what else to call it and I also don't know what to do with it.  Can it be used for needle felting??
Anyway, here she is, my friend LOVED her!

As you can see, she's not very big at all, and I really like the way the head turned out.  I'm trying a new style for the head and I think I'm going to keep it this way.  I didn't use a pattern for her, just made her up as I went. Her arms are also attached with safety eyes so they can move! Cheesy

3  Baby girl cake pop in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Tygermane on: June 14, 2013 10:21:00 PM
So, it's been FOREVER since I've posted anything here!  But, here's a few things that I've made that I'm super happy with!  I'm stocking up for the craft fairs this summer and I'm going to be selling these adorable little babies!  I plan on making blue ones too, don't want to forget about those baby boys!!  Sorry about the dark photo, I don't have a camera and I was so happy with this, I didn't want to wait for the sun to come up before posting pics of it. Smiley
Would love to know what you all think about her!

4  Re: WoW Swap Rnd 3 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Tygermane on: September 23, 2012 05:14:30 PM
I got my package from Alexampersandra  last week and am finally getting around to posting pics, lol.  Damn camera for breaking down AGAIN!  Hope the quality is ok, I took them with my iPad.

Here are the first items I got, a felted Murloc purse, which my daughter keeps trying to steal, and 2 felt magnets.

Here is the other item she sent, it has become my horde neck pillow! lol.  Works great for relaxing in my computer chair!
  The other side is black.

She also sent a scarf that had the quest pick-up and turn-in icons on it, but my daughter swiped it and she's over at her friend's right now Smiley

Thanks again, everything was great!

5  Re: Little Visitor 15 Gallery - Spring Festivities and Summer Blast in The Swap Gallery by Tygermane on: March 27, 2012 10:35:59 AM
I'm so jealous of everyone's sunshine!!  Cry  I wish our spring would hurry up and get here!

But here are a few pics of Mel & Tom so far.  We haven't been able to do much because of the weather, but we've done a little bit! Smiley

Fresh out of the box, stretching and checking out the snow that had fallen overnight.

Our dinner!  Tonkatsu, rice, broccoli and green tea.  Yumm!! Smiley

Since friday was such a nice day, we went for a bike ride.  The boys had the best seat in the house! Smiley

Here they are helping me prep some picture frames for decorating.  Thanks guys!!! Cheesy

Sunday we made it downtown to the Saturday Market, while waiting for the Max we discovered an old relic!  A pay phone!!!  They boys wanted to test it out, but sadly, we didn't have any change, and didn't know who to call

Enjoying the cherry blossoms in full bloom downtown.  I've never been down there while they were in bloom, so it was a treat for me as well Smiley  I'm hoping to go back down on the next sunny day and take more pictures.  Hopefully they will still be in bloom!

I have more pics posted to my FB too. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Little-Visitors/125622654131965?ref=tn_tnmn

7  My little cow girl in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Tygermane on: March 09, 2012 08:27:55 PM
I was inspired by this post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=256043.0.  Her name is Klarabelle.  I think she is by far my favorite amigurmi that I've made.  I made her with regular worsted yarn and a size 4.0mm hook  I embroidered part of her hair and unraveled the rest to give her ponytails.  I had to have blue gingham ribbon for her hair.  She just didn't feel right without it.  And her bell had to be tied on with red ribbon too.  Nothing else would do.  I tried to do her cheeks with colored pencil/blush (any tips on this would be awesome!), but didn't really like how dark it turned out, so i glued some felt onto it.  I also glued the felt spots onto her.  I thought about embroidering them, but gluing felt was faster, lol.
So without further adieu, here is the adoarable Miss Klarabelle!!

Here's the back, I braided her tail.

C&C always welcome! Smiley

My partner received yesterday and won't be able to post pics for a while, so I will post the pics I have Smiley I crocheted a little Yuki from Fruits Basket.  She said he was one of her fav characters, and I thought he would be super fun to crochet. I'm happy with how cute he turned out Smiley

9  Yuki Soma in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Tygermane on: March 09, 2012 08:00:16 PM
I crocheted Yuki Soma for my partner in the OTT Anime/Manga swap & since she's received I can post pics of him! Smiley  He was killer on my hands.  I used Naturally Caron Bamboo yarn.  It was so soft to work with but also very difficult because it kept slipping out of my fingers and wouldn't keep the tension.  But the stitches still turned out nice and tight Smiley  I used a 2.75 mm hook.  He was hard to part with, he was so adorable!  I'm really glad my partner liked him Smiley  My daughter was also sad to see him go, lol.
But on to the pics! Smiley
