1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Handsewn Dark Knight Joker Doll on: November 05, 2008 03:45:48 PM
I made this originally for the Dark Knight swap, but after my partner flaked, I definitely did not want to send it on. I've become very attached to him   Roll Eyes I worked for HOURS AND HOURS on this guy, and I am very proud. His hair alone took me days of threading.  Grin

Thanks for looking, hopefully better pictures to come!
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Batman Group Costumes [img robust] on: November 01, 2008 07:25:40 PM
Okay, so all of my friends LOVED The Dark Knight, so we all decided to go as Batman Characters. We all had our favourites, so a month ago, I started making them. In total I ended up making 2 scarecrows one Poison Ivy, One Harley Quinn, and One Catwoman. In my pictures there's just the one scarecrow Harley and Ivy. by the way, the Harley is ME!!! =D

And the Joker got handsy with the camera....Me sans makeup....

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / There Seems To Be Alot of the Joker.... on: July 24, 2008 09:22:39 AM
Here's a pen drawing I did over the course of 2 days. I started with the clothing, and was a little hesitant about the face. I finally did it after many, MANY pencil practices on another sheet. lol

I dont think my scanner is quite up to par, so I apologize for the poor image quality.
Have a good day! - LaurenM.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / First Ever Project, Neglected to Post. on: July 23, 2008 10:22:04 AM
This is the first thing i EVER reconstructed EVER. Looking back, it's kinda crappy, but I'm thinking about re-doing it sometime in the future.

The black stripe is an old tie, and the purple is old legging that didnt fit.

On the back, a big button =]

Comments/Criticism welcome =]
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Joker Pj pants on: July 23, 2008 10:18:40 AM
I originally made these to go to The Dark Knight in, but I made a much cooler costume later. I now wear them constantly, cause they're incredibly soft and warm =]

As you can kinda see, the colors reverse on the back, so my green leg is purple on the back etc.

I made this in my sewing class @ Joann's, which, although being a medium class, i found it to be incredibly easy. (lol i finished an hour early)   Comments welcome! - LaurenM.
6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Mod Podged Combat Boots on: May 27, 2008 12:47:29 PM
Well, this is my first time using Mod podge, and i loooove my new shoes!

I took clippings out of my fave magazine Under the Radar, its got tons of cool Indie bands and stuff =]
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / *UPDATED* [ Pics that actually work] Reconned Corset and A Tee Skirt on: March 07, 2008 05:53:22 AM
This is my first post and I have to say I'm really excited! I have been on here for a few weeks, and i'm so excited to finally post my first things. Okay, on my mannequin, Betty, (lol  I call her that because its a dress form from the 50's) anyway, I bought a corset on clearance at a Hot Topic near me, and my mom was getting rid of an old skirt of hers, so i snatched it and sewed it over the existing corset =D The second Piece is a skirt made from  red gray and yellow tee shirts.

Lol you can prolly see my prized possession in the background, my Sweeney Todd poster lol.

Heres me in the corset

Any suggestions would me much appreciated! =D I'm new at this so be kind lol =P

yikes i just realised the pics are tiny! hold on i'll fix this
