2  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Anyone up for a 200 Crochet Blocks Crochetalong? on: June 01, 2009 10:09:38 PM
Hi Everybody!
I just bought the book today, I've already made one block.  The Lacy cross block I think.  Actually I made another one as well, but didn't like the texture of the yarn after I was done so I took that apart...

Anyway.  I'm excited. Smiley
3  UNITED STATES / North Carolina / Re: would like to meet other Raleigh/Durham Craftsters! on: January 23, 2009 07:43:51 AM
Wow I'm blind.  I posted a new thread about Raleigh.  I'm not in Raleigh yet, but it's only a little more than an hour away.

I'm moving there in July, maybe August.  Before if I can find a place to stay without having to commit,  (I have roommates set up for the summer/fall and after).  I knit, crochet, sew, if you can call making a couple squares and then stopping I quilt.  I also am into every craft that I get the materials for.  I have scrapbooking stuff, lots of random things to turn into art, and two grandmother's worth of fabric.   Current fascination is knitting...I just learned how to cable.  I am now free to ruin a project in a whole new way! Smiley

Anyway, PM me some time, and I'll try to PM some of you.  I'll be going to Raleigh more often as time goes on, so I'm sure I could meet up with some of you too.
4  UNITED STATES / North Carolina / Moving to Raleigh from Greenville on: January 21, 2009 05:18:56 PM
This summer I'm moving to Raleigh.  I'll be a nanny, going to school and getting Montessori school training.   I'm trying to get into all kinds of crafting, so far just the basics...Knitting, crochet, itsy bit of sewing.  I'm such a hip 23 year old.

I would love to meet up with people if anyone already has a group going (even if it's just you  Smiley ) I have several visits to Raleigh planned, (the next one is on the 30th).  If you have/know of a group of people that hang out and craft I would love to meet some crafty friends. (they're hard to find in Greenville).

When I get settled, or even if there's still boxes, I would love to have some people over for tea/chocolate/coffee and crafting.
5  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Scrap yarn blanket on: July 19, 2008 03:05:23 PM
I'm joining.   Not quite sure what I'm doing yet.  But I've got SO much yarn right now.  I've gained my grandmother's complete stash, along with some things knitted/crocheted things I've found that I'm going to recycle the yarn from.
Including a giant Granny Square afgan that I made when I was younger.  I'll post pictures when I get them.
