21  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: lace leaf pullover - from Loop 'd' Loop - finished with pics on: August 17, 2005 11:11:58 AM
Its beautiful, this sweater is on my list of things I really want to knit when I have the time, did you say that you only used one bag of the wool?  And I'm guessing 1 lb of the tweed?  The colors are beautiful great job.
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Vogue Knitting Fall 2005 on: August 15, 2005 12:10:53 PM
The day I got mine I spent my entire train ride looking through it.  I do love the cover sweater, but it might be a little above my head and out of my budget, plus I'm not sure if I'd wear it.  I also love the retro sweater vest with the fair isle on the top and thhe ribbing at the bottom.  The shawls are so pretty too.  I really like this issue.

Ariel - I love that yarn I hae seen it at Micheals.  How many skeins did you use?  I have this book and it is amazing, I made a ballet top the other day.  I wish I had a digital camera to take pictures Undecided

Wow that is amazing.
I've only made one quilt before and it was of old tshirt scraps, but I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how you make a quilt like that one?  It looks amazing I'd love to try.

I've made plenty of patchwork skirts, although none as beautiful as yours, I've always wanted to make an apron top.  Do you have a tutorial or a good pattern to recommend?
29  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / college studne in need of help on: October 05, 2004 10:35:16 AM
Hi,
I'm a pretty poor college student.  I have a workstudy job that only pays me $1,000 a semester, and leaves me with a lot of time sitting around.  I do not really have time to get another part time job because my workload varies from week to week.
I was looking for some ideas on how to start selling my crafts?  I am getting a sewing machine for christmas and I also love to crochet.  I'm hoping to be able to make some money off my hobby.  Help please?

Oh I have some scraps hanging around and I would love to learn to make flowers out of them.  Do you have a neat or pretty easy flower pattern?
