Three more dolls have joined my doll parade. Unlike my previous post about "Caroline"http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=349074.msg4070903#msg4070903
, though, these dolls were not immediately meant as gifts, so their looks may change with time as I decide what to do with them. As of now, they are decorating my dorm room.
All of these dolls and their clothing are completely hand-sewn, and all of the clothing are made of self-designed patterns or free-hand sewing. The idea of the dolls, themselves was taken from an old out-of-print book called "The Most Wonderful Dollhouse Book." They have snaps on their hands, allowing them to "carry" things, and to hold hands with other dolls. They are completely poseable, with pipecleaner joints. They are sewn out of unbleached muslin, with embroidery floss hair and faces.
Of all the doll outfits I created, Vivianne's is probably my least favorite. I'm not exactly sure why, but I may re-clothe her at some point.
Vivianne has black/dark brown hair and blue-green eyes. She wears a pink floral halter top and a light blue denim skirt.
Lisette has blonde hair and luminous blue/green eyes. Her brown polka-dot dress was hand-embroidered, and her skirt is two full-circle skirts.
And finally, Meet Cassandra...
Cassandra is the one red-headed doll, and her green eyes complement the fiery hues perfectly. She wears a black halter top, a tween pencil skirt, and a green kimono sash.
Thanks for looking!
