1  Baby Shoes in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by dancegirl2857 on: June 28, 2012 02:30:06 PM
My sister is expecting her first child in August, so I have jumped on the bandwagon of making things for the baby. Here are the shoes I have made so far.

The first pair i made using the pattern from this website http://www.tackyliving.com/article.php?id=121

The second pair were kind of an experiment, I used the pattern from the first pair, but modified it. They were inspired by these http://ithinksew.com/ProductDetails.aspx?pgProductID_int=51

2  Prom Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by dancegirl2857 on: June 28, 2012 02:17:17 PM
A few years ago I needed a dress for a dance, so I turned a skirt into a dress and it has sat around since that dance. When prom rolled around this year I decided to reinvent that dress by adding lace on the top and putting  pickups in the skirt.

This is the only picture I have of it, I would put it on and take pictures, but I pretty much had to be sewn into it.

3  A new life for my duffle bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by dancegirl2857 on: June 21, 2011 01:31:28 PM
I had a pink duffle bag that was falling apart and I am too cheap to buy a new one, so I bought some fabric, took took the bag apart, kept parts of it to use in the new bag, and used the other pieces as patterns. This is the biggest project that I have done. By the end I didn't care how it turned out, I just wanted to finish it.
Here is the finished bag

Here's the inside

Here's a side view

This is the original bag

4  Summer is here..I need to make a skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by dancegirl2857 on: June 21, 2011 01:17:44 PM
I found a floor length skirt one day and decided to make a skirt that I would actually wear out of it. I can not gather very well, so I gave up on the skirt until a few weeks ago when it was warm out and I realized that I did not own any skirts.

Here's a closer picture of the print of the fabric.

Here's the waist band, theres a pocket below the buttons.

6  "I dedicate this house to the Griswold Family Christmas. " in Stenciling: Completed Projects by dancegirl2857 on: December 24, 2010 08:08:55 PM
I wanted to make something Christmasy so I decided to make a National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation shirt.

I used contact paper to make the stencil and I used stickers to get the letters. Here is the letters and picture halfway cut out on the contact paper.

I got the inspiration from this shirt

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, even though I messed up a couple of the letters.

7  My First Inchies in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by dancegirl2857 on: December 24, 2010 07:39:13 PM
When I first heard about inchies I didn't really understand them; but now I see that they are addicting.
So, here is are the ones I've made so far

Here are some forensics ones and a The Office one.

Here are some music themed ones and the one with bright colors is fingerprints in different colors of paint.

Here are a couple Grey's Anatomy ones and a Pushing Daisies one.

I had to bring these to school to show my friend so I made a little paper box to keep them in.

8  Infinity Shoes in Shoes: Completed Projects by dancegirl2857 on: October 17, 2010 05:03:34 PM
I saw the infinity shoes on here and I wanted to try to make a pair. I started by ripping the shoes apart. I didn't have elastic so I used loops of yarn. I used staples, duct tape, and hot glue to put the yarn on the wooden part of the shoe and then I put a insole and fabric on that. They didn't turn out to be sturdy, if you tied them tight they would start to pull apart. But anyways, here they are.
this is the shoes at the begining(I started ripping them apart before I remembered to take a picture)

this is the shoes finnished without ribbons in them

heres an action shot
