41  Re: November 2012 Ongoing Pinterest Discussion and Gallery in The Swap Gallery by dessadoll on: November 23, 2012 08:50:12 PM
jexxican has received from me today!!  She wasn't sure she would be able to post because she is busy this weekend, so I am going to post for her (feel free to add other pictures if you wish jexxican)

First a tree inspired by a mix of her fibre board, art board, jewellery board, and stitchery board.  Its a 3D needle felted tree....even the nest is 3D with little eggs in it!  The rocks also stand out from the backing.  I had trouble parting with it....lol

And from her "Nerdery" board...a needle felted ewok...nearly the size of a toothpick.

I received from Onyxnox yesterday!  Really love it all.  The kids are going to use the tags to put on all the crafts they give away at Christmas to teachers and strangers.
The cards...will be going in the mail before the end of the month!
Thanks soooo much!

Beautiful work!!

43  Re: Art Doll Swap - Sendouts 10/05/12 in The Swap Gallery by dessadoll on: October 28, 2012 03:57:10 PM
So, here is the doll I sent my partner.  She still hasn't received due to postal issues....but I'm hoping she will get it soon.

I'm posting pictures to complete the gallery.  Mightyminniemouse asked for a gothic steampunk doll.  So this is what I came up with.  I made her with no actual pattern.  Her, or her outfit.  She is fully jointed, and aslo has posable hands.  I really loved making her.

Hope you all enjoy.  Her name is Countess Fedilia Cicily Plumb.

These are fabulous!!  What patience!  I would love to have that on my wall.

I vote air for the fourth element.  Though some call for 5 elements.  Earth Air Fire Water Spirit

I got my doll today from mightyminniemouse!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I absolutely LOVE her! I couldn't decide on a name for her, so I put the 2 names I liked into a fairy name generator, and I got a name for her that is quite fitting.

Ember Goblinshimmer
She brings riches and wealth.
She lives where fireflies mate and breed.
She is only seen when the first flowers begin to blossom. (She isn't as shy anymore.)
She wears dresses that glow with fiery colours and has gentle green wings like a butterfly.  (how perfect is that!)

Without further ado....here she is!
p.s. she also has a wire armature so I can pose her.

Enjoying the window view.

Hanging out in the livingroom.

Portrait close up.

Lovely detail on her dress.

And her "gentle green wings like a butterfly"

Seeeeee...how can you not just love her!

OMGoodness!!!  I swear I got the very best most amazing package in this swap!  Words can not explain how madly inlove I am with every thing.   Prepare to be insanely jealous.  And a mega pic overload.

First off, some hammocks, and sleep cubes, and tubes....

Fun stuff to chew and climb

Chew toys!

Stunning boxes

Amazing stuffed ratties which my kids promptly claimed.
They named them.  Mr. Bobo, Miss Pixie, and Gidgit

And my favorite piece of the entire package....my jewellery.  I have never ever ever ever ever seen anything so amazing!!!!!  First a pic with the fabulous box its in.

and a closer up

And a pic of the huge package.  Note there is also a super long home made ladder, and a peg attachment for the side of the cage as well.  For a size comparison, the stuffed ratties are 7" tall to the top of their heads.

I was so flippin excited when I opened my package I litterally squeeled!  Its PHENOMINAL!!!!!

49  Re: Kids' Craft Swap Round 5 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by dessadoll on: July 12, 2012 05:33:01 PM
Sooo...all my kids got their packages.  So I am now posting pictures...this will be one very long post, I appologize now.   And I also appologize for the cruddy pics.  We are in the middle of packing boxes and I can't find my camera, so some I took on my cell, and some my 11 year old took.  If any of our partners have better pics, please feel free to post them.

First off, the package Audessa got from Learah. (Audessa will be sending better pics and a thank you card in the mail.)

She loves it all!  The book she already started to write in, the shirt she already wore, and the ceramics are on her dresser.  Change in one, earrings in the other.  And her ipod is in the Brock University case!

I wanted to steal these from her.  Cheesy  But I got the "Uh, Mom, you aren't a kid and your name isn't Audessa, you can't have them."

And  cool Chinese Knot bracelet

Now the packages of the little 2.  Please bear with me, we have recently adopted these 2 kids from foster care, and we aren't allowed to post pictures of their faces online.  I will send pictures to their partners, but for posting pics, I had to be creative with cropping.

Here is Ronan with his package from Sariah. (and the bad pics taken by my 11 year old)

He loves loves loves this stuffie!

Ronan with everything.  He really like the "Mom its a long neck shirt!!!!" and "Mom I can stamp in dinosaur now!"

And now for little miss Jade, and her package from Anna.

"Awe Mom...a stuffed Bunny!"

A super cute dress. (Kinda feeling bad for not making a dress for Anna)

And her whole package. With some cool little shrink plastic jewellery and beads to make a bracelet, and the rest of the extras.

All my kids got spoiled, and feel very blessed to have been a part of this swap.  Thanks so much to all their partners for making them feel special!  Grin

I got a new rat!  I had seen this little guy a few weeks ago, and really wanted him.  Why not have 2 haired rats...and 2 hairless!

Hubby surprised me and took me to get him today  Grin  He is classified as a hairless, but he does have peach fuzz...lol.  Right now I seperated the rats 2 and 2 because
they were picking on my little man. He's only 2 months old, so he's smaller and weaker Sad

He's got a fabulous name.  My 2 daughters helped me name him.  And my son agreed with them.

Introducing "Eeyore Pistachio"
