41  Re: I Love Cats Or Dogs Swap; send by 5/1 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by dessadoll on: April 21, 2012 06:30:21 PM
SUPER EXCITED TO SHARE!! I got my early Mother's Day present from my kids......PET RATS!!!!

OMG I have wanted rats for soooo long.  As if my life wasn't busy enough~ Hubby, 11 year old daughter, newly adopted sibling set 6 year old boy, 4 year old girl.  2 siberian huskies, one miniature daschund, one cat.....and now.....3 rats!

My favorite of the group, is hairless! How cool is that?  I named him Falkor.  The mixed color I named Norbert, and the solid blackish brown one I named Fuzzbucket.

Just had to share it here!  I should also add, these are rescue rats from our local SPCA.

42  Simple dress for 4 year old in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by dessadoll on: April 10, 2012 06:21:39 PM
My 4 year old and I were going through my fabric stash when she announced she wanted a green dress.  We found some fabric she liked....and free styled a dress.  No pattern, just fun!  She loved helping make it!

Its actually really cute without the belt too!  I'll try and get a picture of it to post.

46  Steampunk keeper in Completed Projects by dessadoll on: January 09, 2012 08:27:28 AM
I made this for a friend.  Its my first ever steampunk project.  And I think it turned out alright.  I made with a papermache book from Michaels, polymer clay, acrylic paint, and odds and ends for added pizazz.

The picture is of an angel and a trumpeter.

47  Tardis and Adipose in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by dessadoll on: January 09, 2012 08:23:39 AM
So, for a Christmas swap. My partner informed me she liked Dr. Who. (I had honestly never watched it) She had posted on her wist that she liked the "adipose" characters.  And she mentioned that she liked to knit.  I figured...why not put the 2 together!
So I made her a Tardis out of an altoid tin.  And a set of 12 adipose stitch counters to fit inside!

48  Dragon Eye in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by dessadoll on: January 09, 2012 08:20:49 AM
I made this for a swap at Christmas.  My partner said her daughter loved dungeons and dragons, and well, since I'm not as great at polymer clay as I want to be....I improvised.
If you can't have the whole dragon, what would be better than having their eye!

By far, one of my favorite projects.

I got my stars from dontdresslikeapril on friday!  (Sorry it took so long to post.)

I almost lost the crochet one to my daughter.  She wanted to put it on her toque.  I managed to get it into my jar! Grin
