Those map envelopes are a great idea!  I'll have to remember that!

I received today from AuntieKar!! She sent some adorable wishlist hangers for my 3 children.  They are going to hang them in their rooms, and pin stuff all year long.  So next year we know exactly what they want, and can also send a picture of the hanger to others wanting to buy them gifts.

They each have the first letter of their name, and say "wish list".  I love them, thanks a bunch!!

32  Pretty Peacock in CHALLENGE 81 ENTRIES by dessadoll on: December 04, 2012 02:01:12 PM
I made this for a friend for a swap, and figured it would fit perfectly in this challenge.  Its a mash up of some of her pins on pinterest.  Inspired by these and this.

Its roughly 5 inches tall. And made entirely of felt, and lots and lots of embroidery floss.

I should have used the flash on this one.

Close up of peacock.

Close up of some of the details.

Hope you enjoy!

Is that tea light house made out of a baby food jar? That's pretty impressive. Then again, it is from Dessadoll so impressive is pretty much par for her.

Smiley You seriously made my day!!!  Thanks SOOO much!!

Yes its a polymer clay covered baby food jar.

Not as neatly done as it could have been, but my grandmother would say "a man on a galloping horse would never notice"....lol.  Remembering that quote always makes crafting more fun.

jexxican has received from me today!!  She wasn't sure she would be able to post because she is busy this weekend, so I am going to post for her (feel free to add other pictures if you wish jexxican)

First a tree inspired by a mix of her fibre board, art board, jewellery board, and stitchery board.  Its a 3D needle felted tree....even the nest is 3D with little eggs in it!  The rocks also stand out from the backing.  I had trouble parting with it....lol

And from her "Nerdery" board...a needle felted ewok...nearly the size of a toothpick.

I received from Onyxnox yesterday!  Really love it all.  The kids are going to use the tags to put on all the crafts they give away at Christmas to teachers and strangers.
The cards...will be going in the mail before the end of the month!
Thanks soooo much!

Beautiful work!!

37  Re: Art Doll Swap - Sendouts 10/05/12 in The Swap Gallery by dessadoll on: October 28, 2012 03:57:10 PM
So, here is the doll I sent my partner.  She still hasn't received due to postal issues....but I'm hoping she will get it soon.

I'm posting pictures to complete the gallery.  Mightyminniemouse asked for a gothic steampunk doll.  So this is what I came up with.  I made her with no actual pattern.  Her, or her outfit.  She is fully jointed, and aslo has posable hands.  I really loved making her.

Hope you all enjoy.  Her name is Countess Fedilia Cicily Plumb.

38  Re: Quiller elements! Well almost all of them anyway... in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by dessadoll on: October 15, 2012 07:52:13 AM
These are fabulous!!  What patience!  I would love to have that on my wall.

I vote air for the fourth element.  Though some call for 5 elements.  Earth Air Fire Water Spirit

I got my doll today from mightyminniemouse!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I absolutely LOVE her! I couldn't decide on a name for her, so I put the 2 names I liked into a fairy name generator, and I got a name for her that is quite fitting.

Ember Goblinshimmer
She brings riches and wealth.
She lives where fireflies mate and breed.
She is only seen when the first flowers begin to blossom. (She isn't as shy anymore.)
She wears dresses that glow with fiery colours and has gentle green wings like a butterfly.  (how perfect is that!)

Without further ado....here she is!
p.s. she also has a wire armature so I can pose her.

Enjoying the window view.

Hanging out in the livingroom.

Portrait close up.

Lovely detail on her dress.

And her "gentle green wings like a butterfly"

Seeeeee...how can you not just love her!
