I'm redoing my room and part of that includes repainting/redecorating a lingerie dresser that was my mom's and it has been in my possession for many years. It is a cream/off-white color with gold edges and the drawer handles are the kind that look like they have wings. My plan is to paint it a dark brown, to match most of the furniture in my room, and all the gold accents will be silver. What I don't know is if I should do a pattern on the front drawers, like paisleys, chevrons, etc?
One of my best friends is turning 30. We are going to Disney (FL) in August and we will be there for her birthday. I would really like to make her something. I was originally thinking of the 30 sucks lollipop idea but she probably wouldn't eat the lollipops.
She likes going to baseball games, she likes to read, she goes to the gym and is a runner. She also has a much better paying job than me especially because I am younger than her.
I can crochet, loom knit, do a bit of knitting, have painted a little bit, and cross-stitched a little bit, and I also have a cricut machine, and I can sew.
I was just given a Necchi sewing machine model #3610 from my grandma. She couldn't find the manual for it and I have not been able to find anything online. Does anyone know anything about this brand and/or model? I've only ever used singer machines before.
My mom's birthday is on Valentine's Day. I always have problems either making or buying gifts for her. She does not like the color red, loves the color purple and green. Her favorite flowers are Iris, and she drinks tea.
In the past I have made her jewelry like beaded bracelets and such. I can crochet, sew, I'm teaching myself to knit, and I can make jewelry.
So I'm making a baby blanket, and I'm not following any type of pattern. It is just a continuous granny square and every couple of rounds I switch between a white baby yarn and a multicolor gender neutral yarn. So far I have 19 rounds completed and it is about 24 inches. I know that it isn't big enough but I do not know how big it needs to be.
Hi all, this is my first challenge ever and I had a lot of fun doing it. I have been on a jewelry making kick lately so when I walked into Dollar Tree I knew I had to make some jewelry, so I ended up making a necklace, a bracelet, and earrings. I bought everything from Dollar Tree except for the mono filament string, and the fishhook earrings. I bought a package of silver crimp beads, two packages of blue drop beads but I only used one package, a package of silver butterfly charms, a package of silver toggles, a package of blue seed beads, two packages of clear-ish glass beads, and two packages of metal spacers. I think the set looks pretty good for coming from supplies from the dollar store. So here are the pictures:
The stuff I bought

The earrings are actually flat but I couldn't get them to sit straight. Thanks for looking, and I hoped you liked my $10 $9 butterfly jewelry!
Hi all, this is my second posted project on craftster.
I got a new credit card in the mail because my previous one expires this month, so my mom was like make sure you cut it up, so I did. Then I was looking at all the pieces and I figured there was something crafty I could do with it. My credit card has a picture of puppies on it and where I had cut it, it separated the picture into two rectangular shapes. I decided that I could make earrings out of it, so I went through my stash of jewelry stuff that I had accumulated while working at AC Moore, and I came up with this:
This was one of the first times that I was happy that my dad has a lot of tools because I used a small drill bit to make the hole for the jump ring.
Hey so my grandma had made me a doll using doll parts from Darice, it was just a doll head with yarn hair and then it came with two hands. I still have the doll, it is wearing a dress and has a hat...the problem is, is that i was given the doll parts but not the pattern, does anyone know a pattern like what I'm describing.
Hey everyone! I'm looking to make cookies for Christmas, some to make for my family and some to send to my grandma in fl, but I can't think of anything other than like snickerdoodles, etc. Has anyone had any luck with sending cookies? I've never done it before but I love baking so I want to give it a try.
