1  Alphabet baby quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by Krafty with a K on: May 29, 2010 10:27:27 PM
It has been a long time since my last post. This is my fifth baby quilt that I have made, I think I am getting better and my new Brother sewing machine makes a big difference.
This quilt is for my boyfriends best mate's first baby.
The theme was white and silver but was unable to find fun fabrics to use.
So therefore went crazy with colour.
Luckily she loved it and was a hit at the baby shower. Hope you like it as well
K.

2  Portraits using masking fluid - pic heavy in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Krafty with a K on: April 24, 2009 04:23:50 AM
I was inspired by the work of http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=301135.0 because I needed to create an engagement present for my long time friend (orange one) and for my friends birthday (green one). She is moving in with her BF and thought they need some art work for their new house. My BF gave it the big thumbs up so hopefully it inspires others to give masking fluid a try : )

P. S sorry the photos are not all up right been a while since i uploaded photos

Thanks for looking

3  One of those yeah I can make that projects- Pet Bed for kittens with attitude in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by Krafty with a K on: July 18, 2008 02:58:46 AM
I'm always looking at item's in the store, checking out the price tag and saying you know I could make this and generally i don't. So inspired by my trip to Ikea and seeing their cat beds i was inspired to make my own.
My kittens or my Lil man and Lil miss have lately been fond of my laptop case, which though makes them look cute looks really uncomfortable

"Do i look cute, Do I Do I Look at me I'm cute" states Lil man

"Mum has stuck me in here, oh no here comes the camera, look slightly interested, she's excited" sighs Lil miss

"It's kinda comfy, not 100% sure, I'll lay in it so Lil man can't" (insert evil laugh)

"It's mine, It's mine, Look at me I'm cute and have stolen Lil Miss's bed"

" I prefer the old one"

4  Junk Mirror - Lots of pics in Completed Projects by Krafty with a K on: March 27, 2008 03:40:48 AM
I made this at the start of my art degree. I decided to give it a make over and give it to my girlfriend for her 21st. I covered it with heaps of buttons, me and her have a fetish for buttons. I kept tellin myself to take photos before i wrapped and forgot, that why the photos are a bit dark cause i had to open it up a little bit to take photos. Enjoy!

5  Nude at Bondi - Oil painting in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Krafty with a K on: March 27, 2008 03:28:48 AM
This is my first attempt at oil painting, so excuse it being a bit rough. I still am chuffed with it. The Painting comes from a photo that my boyfriend took of me at bondi in sydney. I was wearing a bikini but painted it without, not sure why but i think it gives it more of a natural take on the scene. Ok im getting to arty farty I'll stop. Enjoy the pics

Thanx for lookin

6  Ceramic Lady - Robyn Lee inspired in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by Krafty with a K on: March 27, 2008 03:21:34 AM
While i was on my teaching prac my art teacher showed some work by an aussie artist called Robyn Lees (i think thats how it is spelt) and gave me a demo of how to do these ceramic ladies. She is my third attempt, first one reclining. I had Henry Moore's work in the back of my mind. Sadly i didnt get photos of the first two as i gave them away as gifts but maybe i could steal them back for a quick pic. She is made with brown and white paper clay and her dress texture was made by rolling clay over lace.
