1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Netbook Protector! on: June 27, 2010 03:15:00 AM
do you remember what yarn you used? I like the effect it has, it looks like something almost tweed-y.  Although it could also be Red Heart fiesta?

awesome job! I know what you mean about laptops getting to be a bit cumbersome.  I spent one whole semester carting mine around everyday, and realized that while the bigger battery was sometimes a plus, when it was digging into my back, it was also sometimes a minus. =)

Awesome sweater.  I keep coming back to it, thinking I need to make one for myself for the winter (which in Southern California is an oxymoron).  But I cannot hope to accomplish it as well as you have!  My first big project I tried still sits underneath my bed, waiting for me to finish it, and unfortunately for me and it I probably will end up frogging it and making it into a hapless attempt at this jumper.  ah, the frivolities of being awake at almost 3am on a day when you have not one but two parties to attend and a gift to finish, and one to start.  And of course, I'm sitting here procrastinating on Craftster and cut out + keep. . .ugh!

Kudos on sweater.  I actually found the video before I saw you posted it.  Are you the creator of said video??

They're too cute!!! I want them all! >_<  Wonderful job, they look to be absolutely adorable, no doubt about it.  Adoption isn't out of the question here, which i see is par for the course on this and your yeti zombie post.  absolutely adorable, can't wait to see more!

5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Ugly amigurumi and design tutorial on: May 07, 2010 09:56:01 AM
Definitely not ugly, I find him absolutely ADORABLE! I plan on printing the pattern, grabbing the first skein of yarn I come across and making about 10 of these guys. I'm glad you posted the pattern with it, cause I would have asked you for it anyway!

Let his Freak Flag fly!
6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Re: Come celebrate National Craft Month! Share your pictures of "crafting in public" on: March 03, 2010 11:06:12 AM
I love CIP.  It doesn't phase my friends any more, but when I first started doing it I ended up going to Disneyland that day and I had a few people in line asking me what I was doing and why I wasn't just enjoying being at Disneyland.  I let them know I was knitting a pair of hand warmers and then let them know I had an annual pass, I didn't necessarily want to stand in line doing nothing for the next two hours.  I'll have to get a photo next time--Maybe knitting on Space Mountain?
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: faux-hawk **Now with Tutorial** on: February 16, 2010 08:50:10 PM
I loved this idea!! It's so fun and innovative.  I changed the pattern a little so that the ear flaps weren't lengthening the back at all and they just covered the ears. I had a bit of trouble with the mohawk, but I'm just about to felt it and I'm really excited about how I think it'll come out.  I cut my 'hawk pieces at 8 inches long so that when looped they were about 4 inches long each so that when they felted they wouldn't be too small.  Had a lot of fun with it and will upload pictures when it's finished!
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: lighter holder for a smoking device on: February 09, 2010 07:11:07 PM
Very cool! I'll have to look into doing something like that for a friend of mine who always loses his lighters.
The picture is rated mature for a reason, and truthfully unless you really know what it is it looks like it could be a glass vase or pitcher.
9  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: IDEA: Tokyo Jacket Crochetalong? on: October 25, 2009 11:11:57 AM
I got really far my first week, but this last week I haven't had much time to just sit and crochet, so I'm hoping I can get some good progress today and my days off next week.

It's my right side, and is actually finished, I've also already started my left side, and am on row 6/9 before I start the back and front pieces.
